It would be very interesting to know what advice Counsel gave as to the prospects of success. Was it less than evens?  Not many commercial litigants want to go ahead at a less than 60% chance.

 It must be very difficult to break the contract as it stands. The shareholders might have some remedy against the officers of the company who agreed the terms but that doesn’t get rid of Ashley unless there were inducements. Of somesuch (#dB) there is not a shred of evidence.

The questions are: is the legal advice unsound, is the Board proceeding contrary to advice or is there a strategy leading up to a devastating counter attack?

I thought Willoughby was going to be a pretty decent successor to Ian McMillan. He played beautifully in the final against Morton.

Still in dreamland, ‘Spurs would be second, the Villa and Sheffield United would do well. There would be a mass relegation of Leicester, Watford, So’ton, Bournemouth, Palace, Norwich and Brighton. Correct, Bill but in your example the vendor has already made the selling decision and fixed the price . No evidence of such with McCrorie.
