  1. They will certainly try their very hardest. celtic first, Aberdeen second and some game underdog pipping Rangers for third or it won’t be for lack of bbc effort.
  2. What a greetin’ faced wee nyaff.
  3. Maybe better to have a restraining thought about the cause of the goal before bawling and yelling.
  4. I’d start with Docherty against Hibs. It’s from the age of dinosaurs, I know, and Guardiola * would have a fit, but for the league in which Rangers play, what’s wrong with a strong bloke running at a defence from deep? Best case he opens the defence for a shot or for other attackers to run on. Failing that when tackled the ball breaks favourably or if the defender wins the ball cleanly he’s vulnerable to a quick counter tackle. Worst case the ball is lost and the opposition set up their own attack but the defence should be alert to do their job. *And Rousseau too, of course.
  5. West Brom and Wednesday for first and second. PNE third but that won’t happen. More likely Leeds. These three would be a welcome exchange for Norwich, Palace and Brighton.
  6. They will win every match 8-6.
  7. Gribz, much as I’d like to, I can’t disagree with a word of that. Nor can I argue the placings except Hammers might not end up quite so high. What you say about the Villa is spot on. Blades will go down but I’d rather it was Palace along with Norwich and Brighton.
  8. Only Tannochside has really tried to answer compo’s questions in which the keyword is “battle”. Jock Wallace would have asked “does the team have the character?” I think the answer is that they do not.
  9. Less of that bombast, Bill.
  10. These are questions the answers to which I do not like.
  11. The tactical analysis is correct. The yellow cards will, however, be brandished at the victims. Does the team have an enforcer/protector in the style of Brown, Ian Ferguson, McCall, Forsyth or boss of them all, Harry Davis? Is there a true hard man in the side?
  12. The order to pay £444+++ costs is not the final costs figure. More to come I fear plus damages.
  13. If that’s your handgun, Bill, Spare. Us the sight of your heavier srtillery.
  14. Read it again Gazza. Try “final say”.
  15. bbc will continue to broadcast to the world including wee Scotland but the denizens of PQ probably en masse will become part of Scottish State Media. Clyde and maybe some other commercials will be assumed into the new broadcasting agency, the remainder will be closed down. All broadcast facilities will be centralised in Glasgow which city will eventually become the seat of government though most politicians will continue to live in Edinburgh. A sport will be selected to enhance Scotland’s international profile. That sport will be football. (Sorry, Idessane. Just when you’d worked out the difference between the batsman and the bowler) A club will be selected to receive every possible resource to enable it to compete with high profile sides like TNS, Cork City or even FC Pûke. I wonder which will be that club?
  16. Glorious. Give ‘em hell, compo. I never could.
  17. Well worth a look. Billy Liddell 41 out of 100. Remarkable.
  18. I cant argue against that. The only thing you’ve overlooked is bad luck. But I like your optimism. It reminds gloomy buggers like me that sometimes things work out well. Interesting that SG has ousted Dalglish as top scouser. Is it a fans’ poll that’s put him there? Memories of Dalglish, Keegan and St John may be fading. I’d still vote for Billy Liddell
  19. Was Ashley majority/largest shareholder at the time the contract was entered into? If so perhaps minorities have a remedy against the company officers but that doesn’t help with getting shot of Ashley.
  20. Beat Huntly 1-0. For Lossie, that’s a flying start.
  21. I wish them an immediate return, not to the mis-named Highland League, but to Aberdeen Juniors. Losing by just 2-3 in inverness demonstrates how dire ict are.
  22. The Motion is signed by two good Irishmen. Scottish Tories, where are you?
  23. Dangerous to pontificate on a contract one has not read but here goes. SDI’s loss is surely loss of profit rather than loss of revenue. They should be able to demonstrate a huge market so a loss of profit on every item sold isn’t hard to calculate. But there is a feature, probably unique in this case. Not all of the huge market is avid to buy the product from this particular supplier. The onus to prove that would be on Rangers. A thousand affidavits shouldn’t be hard to find.
