killie are nowhere as good as they were in my day with a half back three of Murray Mcgrory and Beattie

Very true. Jimmy Brown in goal (booo) and an inside trio McInally, Kerr and Bertie Black.

We give these middle of the table teams and their pitches too much respect. Take control and sweep them aside. Don’t saunter about. Pressure them into losing their defensive formation.

IMO, Jim Traynor is the Peter Van Vossen of statement writing

First thoughts, brilliant comparison. Second thoughts. Van Vossen was actually a good player.

The statement wasn’t great. The intention was good but very clumsily expressed. Don’t tell people to take a look at themselves. Tell them they are wrong and tell them the consequences of persisting in their conduct.

Its another dig because they can't bring themselves to use the name and now refer to the "Glasgow Derby".

I don’t like “Old Firm”. Who wants to be associated with them?

Just say celtic. Why not? We know who they are.

A bad disciplinary record, I believe.

Was Alex Cropley another around that time? Went to the Villa, I think.

Cropley was round about that time, early 70s and as you say, went to the Villa where he did well. Peter Marinello, another gifted player, went to Arsenal but didn’t do much, too slightly built.

Hibs had a few seasons with some really good players. Peter Cormack a few years earlier was a big success at Forest and Liverpool.

Watching Hagi last night at times reminded me of a player I would have loved at Rangers  Alex Edward's a very clever inside forward who in my opinion never got the big club he deserved

What do you mean, compo? He got a move from Dunfermline to the Hibs?

Good player. Bit of a temper for a wee guy. Played  in the same team as Stanton, Brownlie and Jimmy O’Rourke right enough.
