  1. ‘ammers in a Euro place, cor blimey. Never thought I’d see that again.
  2. Had to happen sometime. Klopp’s mantel on a shoogly peg? I wouldn’t have thought so but he might just get fed up himself and go for something else.
  3. If reports are true it seems he compounded his folly by a false denial. Shouldn’t play again. Retain him but sell next window.
  4. Wolves 1-2 Leeds So’ton 0-2 Chelsea Burnley 2-0 Throstles Liverpool 2-2 Everton Fulham 2-0 Blades Hammers 1-2 ‘Spurs Villa 0-2 Leicester Gunners 0-2 City United 3-0 Mags Brighton 1-0 Palace
  5. That’s right. There was also an Aberdonian after Francey Derek Rae, an admitted Dons man as you would expect but it never coloured his commentary. Before Francey there was a chap Douglas Lowe and the voice from my cradle Peter Thomson “here comes Waddell, racing down the wing, a cross to Thornton and a goal for Rangers”.
  6. Scourge of the bookies at the moment, old bean. City’s title now, right enough. Tremendous run after an erratic start.
  7. Evertonians will be disgruntled with failure to beat relegation candidates at home. Three points would have seen them level with Liverpool. The night: Burnley 2-0 Fulham Everton 0-2 City
  8. You’re making me greet but that’s fossil football and we old timers just have to accept that the days of rip-roaring excitement with two teams trying instead of hoping to win are long gone.
  9. Sorry to see West Brom, Blades and Fulham go down. Nothing exciting coming up though Brentford might be interesting.
  10. Isn’t Robertson supposedly an apprentice in the Clancy Order of Refs? But that was a golden opportunity to give a penalty and plead genuine mistake. I wonder why he didn’t. Up in front of the grand chief 9am Monday, I expect.
  11. Just as the nerves were jangling, the Kitty Kid kicks one in.
  12. I’d prefer Everton to win the Cup but I don’t think they’ll beat City in a quarter final. Leicester I fancy to beat United at this stage rather than later. Weird thinking.
  13. The raw data from the Cup results. @Gribz 8 @compo 8 Scott7 8 Remarkable but the refined data adding the Ten Point Extra for the correct score in any Welsh/English tie puts Scott7 up to 18. I did tell you about the Extra didn’t I? Might have overlooked it.
  14. Look on my works, ye Bookies, and despair: Leic. 2-2 L’pool Palace 2-0 Burnley City 3-1 ‘Spurs BHA 2-1 Villa So’ton 1-0 Wolves Baggies 0-3 United Gunners 2-2 Leeds Toffees 3-1 Fulham Hammers 2-1 Blades Chelsea 2-0 Mags
  15. The LA admitted liability. “On 20 August 2020, I admitted liability to Mr Clark and Mr Whitehouse”
  16. In the current circumstances of both clubs I don’t see anyone leaving West Ham to go to celtic.
  17. I’ve often wondered that. I can’t see a timmish angle in this. More like vengeful Rangers supporters but I doubt if COPFS has any bluenoses. Some will be rugger chaps, some will have no interest in sport the rest will be tims. It seems the Lord Advocate told the SP that he was really, really sorry. Terrible and all that but nobody did anything crooked and everything will be ok now. Thank you, Mr Advocate but what non-criminal acts took place and what are the names of those responsible? We should be told.
  18. Good move if they can get themselves back to being a top club. Uwe Seeler Loyal.
  19. Burnley beat by Bournemouth. Is Dyche still untouchable? Course he is. Who else could keep Burnley in the EPL for so long?
  20. Cup forecasting is easy. For example: Burnley 3-0 Bournemouth United 1-2 Hammers Swansea 1-3 City Leicester 2-1 BHA Blades 2-1 Bristol City Everton 1-2 ‘Spurs Wolves 1-0 So’ton Barnsley 0-4Chelsea
  21. Forecast ratings: @Gribz 16 @compo13 @Scott79 Hmmm.
  22. Guessing that malicious prosecution is a civil wrong and not a crime. Misconduct in Public Office mibbees. We’ll know better when the current LA makes his statement in the SP. Or perhaps not.
