They don’t make them now like she did.

There’s not a team like these Glasgow Rangers. -

Enhanced that for you. -
I agree about kick-off time and semis played at Villa Park. The event itself is contaminated by the ugly sisters, Show-Biz and Advertising. Chelsea and Leicester are very good teams but I have no interest in either. Chelsea are the better. Would the tims be miffed if Brendan won it? I’ll have a look at it until I get called for my tea but I’ll be wishing I was watching something like Preston North End v Sheffield Wednesday, 1950s vintage.

Some of these Championship days have been an anti-climax. If anyone is fated to spoil the record it’s Aberdeen. To Hell with that. 5-0 to the Famous. -
A lot of the folk in the pictures had a studenty look to them. I’m not as familiar as I used to be with Glasgow and its inhabitants but I didn’t see any McFlannels there.

There will be a disturbance of some description possibly provoked by the usual suspects and then escalated by police activity. On Monday SG will pressurise SFA (it won’t take much)to revoke any permit Rangers need to play in a UEFA competition. I wonder who would take Rangers’ place?

Celtic condemn Green Brigade's Palestine display
Scott7 replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Well done, celtic. (That’s like speaking in a foreign language) Should have eliminated this nonsense years ago but it would be churlish not to acknowledge a faltering step along the path to good sense. How long before they scamper back to their default position of idiocy? -
Just as well you reminded me, compo. United 3-1 Leicester So’ton 1-1 Palace Chelsea 3-0 Arsenal Villa 1-1 Everton United 2-0 Scousers I’ll leave the cup final ‘til later. Heavy analysis of form data and predictive outcomes to be done, though Chelsea will win easy.

Rangers 'B' team to take part in Lowland League next season
Scott7 replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Kelty Hearts. B Ferguson, Manager. If they beat Brechin City they’ll be into League 2. Other notables, Berwick Rangers, East Stirlingshire, a couple of University teams and the legendary Bonnyrigg Rose. I can see the point of a team of very young players in that league to develop a club/team ethos and method. The older youngsters having passed through that stage and near to breaking into the top side would be better off on loan to clubs at a much higher level. -
To be fair, Hibs usually take a decent following to a semi or a final. But as Alec McCleish once remarked, where do they go on a Saturday?

The Summer 2021 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

I know he’s good but I don’t think even he could play for both of them. -
In a different thread. I’m less upset by Chelsea’s money than I was by the Showbiz tomfoolery of the 60s.

Saw about ten minutes of highlights. Looked like an old fashioned football match with Hibs playing some good stuff and Nisbet as greedy for goals as a young McCoist. Anyone give me a reality check? Were the other eighty minutes dross?
-
I’ve already done that.

As a callow youth I was influenced by a cup final victory and a centre forward called Ronnie Allen a Jeff Astle of his time. As for the Hammers, Ray Stewart was a cracking good player.

Four of these clubs have been league champions and five have been cup winners. Sunderland and Wednesday have the biggest potential. I don’t see Ipswich reaching the heights again.

Im hoping for the Owls as well. Nothing much against Derby except Rooney so goodbye Rotherham.

I believe the trophy is bound for the Bridge but if the definition of plasticity is massive injection of spurious foreign money, Chelsea is the founding member of that society. I’ve never been keen on Chelsea since the Kings Road/Celebrity culture that surrounded the club in the sixties so I prefer Plastic City to Plastic Chelsea despite Mourhino 1 having produced one of the best sides I’ve ever seen.
