He got promotion, got them to impressively high league positions and has had one disappointing season though nowhere near relegation. Worth another go and sack him in November if it doesn’t work. 
 

Perhaps there’s something behind the scenes we can’t know about.

Can’t help. My knowledge of current Scottish footballers who don’t play for Rangers is minimal. I like the look of Nisbet at Hibs. Gallagher knows how to defend. McTominey has had a solid season. Armstrong and Forrest are good players though Forrest like Robertson hasn’t been at his best. McLaughlin for ‘keeper of course. Patterson, why not? Tierney plays some magical stuff if he’s able. Can you have a team of fullbacks? Dykes from the Billy Houliston school of centre-forwarding, Dumfries. McGinn must be good - everybody says so. Is that eleven yet? Mibbees Gilmour.

Either of Gazza’s famous outfield two against Aberdeen is the main contender for the greatest goal but they are only contenders, the holder of the title being Kai’s epic thunderbolt.

True but I know what @Charlochmeans. The diversity of the team and the women’s XI are blanked out by the opposition. Rangers had a distinguished captain in Roman Catholic Lorenzo Amoruso but that doesn’t suit the agenda so it’s ignored.
