  1. Good luck to him wherever he goes. My own view is that the academy doesn’t produce nearly enough young players getting into the first team squad, something I’m sure the new manager may concur with.
  2. One door closes then another door opens all in the space of a week. I’m particularly pleased the way we’ve gone about things over the past week. It’s good to see we’ve learned our lesson from when Warburton & Pedro left & we’d no obvious replacements identified. Much of this I think can be attributed to the DoF role which I think has been largely successful since it was introduced at Rangers just over 3 years ago. When Gerrard left( or indicated he was leaving) the DoF immediately identified a shortlist of successors. We have to hope the arrival of GvB will provide a spark which seems to have been missing too often this season. One or two players seem to have lost their sharpness from last season and one or two others seem to have regressed unfortunately. This will need sorted out and I’m sure there will be changes as the new manager makes his own mark on the squad. I’ll be particularly interested to see if he gets more out of Bacuna.
  3. Don’t forget Neil McCann was a team mate of GvB….
  4. My understanding is Gerrard was offered five times his Rangers salary by Villa. Think that might have been a major reason he left …
  5. He stopped 10IAR. For that alone I’ll always be grateful to SG.
  6. We move on. I have no bitterness towards Gerrard. He was brought to stop 10IAR & he did that. Rangers need a known name to manage them. De Boer or GVB for me
  7. Only hope our board have someone in mind to replace Gerrard if he goes. We can’t have another fiasco like we had when Pedro & Warburton left during the season
  8. I’m guessing, but looks to me Martinez is Villa’s first choice but he wants to continue with Belgium until next year’s World Cup
  9. If SG gets offered the Villa job then I’d suggest it’s a certainty he’ll take it. What concerns me more is whether our board have anyone in mind to replace him if he goes. We can’t have another Pedro or Murty fiasco
  10. A win is a win but we’re conceding far too many goals. Balogen went off presumably because he was on a yellow but Bassey is no CB. We really need to look at the CB situation in january. And was their first goal offside?
  11. Yes that’s how it works. Or should work. And re-invest some of the fees received in their replacements. The Ajax way.
  12. My understanding was the contract was £4m upfront each year
  13. Something not right about this Castore deal. I thought it was £4m per season upfront & Rangers got a percentage of merchandise sales.
  14. Looking at the accounts, we’re getting just over £4m per year from retail ? Is that correct? Not a lot is it? thought the Castore deal was £4m per year up front? (£4m per year over 5 years) And Rangers got a percentage of sales of merchandise
  15. I’m still not convinced the ball went out from the corner kick that Morelos scored from at the start of the game. If it did maybe Tavernier can bend the ball like Roberto Carlos and we just didn’t know about it ?‍?
  16. Does that £10m include lost revenue from EL home games ? We would have had 8 home EL games worth about £12-15m in tickets sales we never got
  17. Worst performance I’ve seen in Europe from us for a long time
  18. Making a poor team look good here. And WTF is it with us losing goals at the end or at the start of each half
  19. Still no word about the reaction from BBC PQ about today’s game ? ? Maybe they all went home early ??
  20. This afternoon at Fir Park would have been uncomfortable viewing for the BBC PQ gang hut. I look forward to 26th of foot giving us the BBC PQ analysis of this afternoon ?
  21. Great response after losing yet another needless early goal. Magnificent result. Walter would have been proud of that watching from above. Much more like the Rangers we all want to see.
