But credit must also go to our new manager & his back room staff. I thought we’d lost it a bit after Malmo with SG but Gio’s improved us bar one bad 45mins against the yahoos. Going to be a very interesting run in with them.Wonder if tonight will affect them ? Always thought after FC Copenhagen beat them at ra Stydome was the beginning of the end for Lennon. Hopefully same tonight for Ange no pro-licence. And bring on VAR. helped us twice tonight.

We need to start the game well today. Higher tempo than we’ve been doing lately. The slow, predictable build up and left to right then back again won’t do. We need to start asking more questions of teams. I don’t think we can afford any slip-ups til we play the yahoos again in April

That starting XI leaves Jack with a lot to do on his own in central MF in my opinion. He could easily get outnumbered. Its a very attack-minded formation.

We need to learn how to use Sakala though. He’s not a natural number9 for me and won’t get enough goals hes maybe better to suited to a 4-4-2 playing up top as one of the 2 in a wider role

We put Sakala up against their LB Greg Taylor. That pushed them back.

If we’d managed to score early 2nd half could have been different. look they’re not world beaters. They’re nowhere near as good as Rodger’s team. I think Sakala is more effective on the right.

I actually thought Sakala changed the game when he came on. He has genuine pace and forced them to sit deeper. But the game was over at HT

If Jack played alongside Kamala first half and we sacrificed one of our wide players it might have been different
