SPL clubs give 'unanimous backing' to proposed reforms
RANGERRAB replied to simplythebest's topic in Rangers Chat
Not sure m8 -
and these rules say we must accept this SKY deal.? sky are perfectly entitled to show other teams games. why wouldn't they do that? It wouldn't make good business sense to televise Rangers games when they weren't wanted. I'm sure CG will have stressed this to them in talks he had with them.

depends how bloody-minded he wants to be I suppose. Can't see SKY televising a club's game against their wishes. -
CG is on record as saying he'll not sign next season's SKY deal. If he sticks to this what happens to reconstruction if no SKY deal (without us) to pay the monies promised to clubs if they voted for these proposals?

we need one single Supporters Organisation. We have too many presently

SPL clubs give 'unanimous backing' to proposed reforms
RANGERRAB replied to simplythebest's topic in Rangers Chat
I do know for a fact CG & SKY have had talks. I do wonder where the money promised to clubs for reconstruction is coming from ? CG is on record as saying he'll not sign next season's SKY deal. What will SKY do then? -
that's exactly what I think they'll try. CG won't pay it (as legally the new company running the club has no obligation to do so) and another period of confrontation between us & the SFA/SPL will duly commence. I genuinely believe if we are resolute & stick together in this we can bring down at least one of these corrupt organisations

For this rconstruction to go through, they will need a TV deal in order to give clubs the monies they'd promised. CG has said he'll not sign any new TV deal leaving a problem as I see things. SKY have had talks with CG don't forget. Interesting times ahead me thinks. -
When was the last time you wanted to win a game as much...

Unless there's proper tactics & a gameplan next week we won't win. Simple -

RANGERRAB replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
It's their scouting system compared to ours which is a big concern. Ours isn't a patch on theirs. I said earlier CG must set performance targets. Here is one area we definitely must improve beyond recognition. -

CG needs to set higher performance targets for the management & coaching staff at the club. If they can't achieve those targets they must go. if & when the team manager's job becomes vacant can we have a proper application process for it as is the norm. in the real world other than simply handing it to someone -

What concerns me most is ally seems to think the job is his for as long as he wants it. His coaching & scouting staff concern me too. Other than McDowall no one has any record prior to Rangers. Durrant? Neil Murray? what's Neil Murray's scouting record ? which players has he discovered ? I don't know enough about the younger sides but I've read a few concerns about that too. Seems if you're Ally's mate you'll get a job & be OK. -

we have players who consistently give the ball away under no pressure, we have little or no MF creativity, we cannot defend setpieces, we have players constantly played out of position, no gameplan almost every week etc, etc I could go on and on. The only way to change this is to replace the manager (& his coaching staff too maybe). We need serious improvement otherwise the crowds will fall away. People won't watch that dross today & I don't see how it'll change as things currently stand. The only way out is to change the manager & bring someone in with a proven managerial record elsewhere. Bring him in now & let him assess what he's got & decide what he wants to bring in on Sept1 and who he can try & release which might be difficult as just about everyone seems to be getting offered new deals -

sorry m8 but I don't want a Rookie Manager. I want amanager with a proven record who can manage . Ally can't and if he learnt nothing from 4 YEARS with WS then do I need to say any more? -
League reconstruction? Just another punishment for Rangers?
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
it's all about money. Rangers money. And that's where CG must play hardball with these people. Play by our rules or we won't sign your SKY TV deal no matter how derisory it is because they need it to keep the diddy clubs afloat. -

CG needs to understand too that we will not continue to turn up in such large numbers to watch the likes of what we saw today. And it is happening just about every game now i.e. a turgid display which is awful to watch. We'll win SFL3 but then what? We need a manager with a gameplan & who understands the importance of tactics regardless of who we're plying against -
Precisely. He is alleged to have told the SFA Craig Whyte wasn't paying PAYE/N.I. why didn't they do anything about it? surely a simple phonecall to HMRC would have confirmed everything. Do I detect the influence of a certain SPL CEO in this inaction as it suited his club to do more damage in the longrun to us? This, and how Whyte got Rangers in the first place are the two questions that must be answered.

Hilarious stuff. Backed by a couple of Labour MP's (one from Dundee BTW) The last Labour Government ran up debts of over £1trillion yet they're concerned over a £9-15m debt by a conman who shouldn't have got near the frontdoor at Ibrox had it not been for their colleagues in LBG.. You couldn't make it up

What else should the RFFF be used for if not this ? I'd rather the club kept its money for squad investment once the illegal embargo is lifted -

change of subject - who would we rather have as Chief Exec Martin Bain or Charles Green ? -
no Rangers Supporter should ever forget about this 5 point agreement and what it entailed and who the parasites were who were behind it.

Leggat - CELTIC BID TO HIJACK RANGERS BLUE CHIP INVESTORS
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
other things about DD is I believe he takes his full annual dividend from his Septic shares and he keeps his shareholding just below the amount which would require him to make a takeover bid. Leggat's article is interesting. It suggests CG & Co have sussed no one will invest in Septic whilst DD retains his current investment which I believe to be around 29% which as I said is just below the level requiring him to make an outright takeover. It also mentions his statement last October about us being 'a magnificent club with a great history'. Many wondered why he said that & I think McMurdo's daily blog was bang on when he said he was concerned for the state of Scottish football in general where his investment could lose serious value without Rangers in the top league. It did of course upset many of 'them' as one would expect But it is the final part of Leggat's article suggesting further investment & expansion which I think is most interesting of all. CG & Co are well ahead of schedule in getting us back to where we belong and this would seriously alarm 'them' because as I continually ask why is it if they're so financially sound do they continually shop in the bargain basement for players? yes they've had a good CL largely due to a poor defensive Spartak side and good fortune against Barcelona which will stand them in good stead but will they spend that money? Is there something about their finances we don't know about ? I've heard it suggested they could face massive stadium bills in the near future. Could that be the case ? Only time will tell but here's hoping CG & Co keep up the good work -
And we sold him to Sociedad after 2 years for half the amount we bought him for - MADNESS........
