Hearts: Parent company UBIG asks to be declared insolvent
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Rangers' SFA membership & licence was transferred from oldco to newco and the club's history was preserved intact. The SFA, UEFA, ECA etc all recognise this. Only those of an extremely low intellect cannot grasp this fact. Perhaps it's their upbringing. -
Not necessarily. Might never happens. Newco might buy oldco so as no one else gets the company & its name

I thought Jon Daly would star for Old Firm.......
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Welcome to Rangers Jon Daly. You strike me as an articulate, well-educated young Irishman who has spent almost all his adult like life in England & now Scotland who probably considers yourself to have more in common with us than the screaming yaboos from the east end of our city who have a somewhat fictitious affiliation with Ireland which they use both to provoke & antagonise. Just ignore them Jon. -
We don't have a big squad so if we do get Daly then I believe he'll be an excellent signing for us(injury permitting) as he can play at the back & up front. I'd still like to see a couple of midfielders coming in along with a CB.

Aberdeen to release 11 players at end of season
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Most SPL clubs will need to follow the example of Falkirk who are basically just an U21 side with 2 or 3 older players thrown in. The standard in the SPL will undoubtedly plummet over the next season or two. Just watch their crowds next season (they'll probably need to start handing out loads of free tickets again to massage crowds) -
The whole concept of the BBC where it is funded by a national licence fee is outdated and should be abolished. There are so many TV channels around nowadays that it wouldn't be missed one iota. If it is to remain then let it find funds by itself. It would then need to produce programmes people would want to watch meaning its biased inaccurate documentaries such as Daly's fictional nonsense about 'the men who sold the jerseys' would be a thing of the past if it wanted to survive.

were you surprised at what you read ? if so why ? maybe you don't know what these people are about or why they have these views of us. I maintain it's their upbringing in this country. They are taught to destest anything British which they'll never be a part of. They fly the flag of the neighbouring Irish state for reasons I believe are intended to be provocative & antagonistic towards us. I often wondered why they don't live in Ireland if it appeals to them so much but most real Irish people probably wouldn't want them.

Aberdeen to release 11 players at end of season
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
But how low do attendances at the SanGiro need to get or how many freebies do the rest need to dish out week after week to falsify attendances before the penny drops. Without Rangers in its top division Scottish football is a burst baw. Since Dumbcaster & Regan arrived there actually seems to be less money now in Scottish football . Is that progress ? Is that why they're here ? surely not. Even Celtic will have problems. How will they attract players to a league which is crap. Look at their signings since last summer. Not exactly successes are they ? They'll have the same problems this summer too. -

RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
As Aberdeen release 11 players the nightmare is about to unfold across all SPL clubs (except you-know-who) as they attempt to replace their released players with ones of a similar standard or better. That will be just about impossible as the players they'll be trying to recruit will be offered lower wages than the ones they're replacing as the clubs get used to having less money to share amongst themselves following the reconstruction /playoffs and financial redistribution farce. The SPL standard will undoubtedly plummet over the next few years. Do you still think the SPL is 'booming' Mr Doncaster ? -
So why did HMRC allow Whyte to avoid paying over PAYE/NI for so long?
RANGERRAB replied to RANGERRAB's topic in Rangers Chat
another question which needs answered is why they aloowed administration to run from FEB14 - JUNE14 when they'd absolutely no intention from the outset of agreeing to a CVA -
He'll be gone by then.

So why did HMRC allow Whyte to avoid paying over PAYE/NI for so long?
RANGERRAB replied to RANGERRAB's topic in Rangers Chat
I think they'd have started chasing in a lot less than a few months for unpaid PAYE/NI. And somehow can't see Whyte discussing payment schedules for anything. He pays for nothing - look at his Highland Castle !!!! Analyse who the directors were ? he got shot of them all so they wouldn't see what he was doing !!!!!!! I think HMRC have more than a few questions to answer regards Whyte IMO. -

Don't you think SDM was blackmailed into selling to Whyte? -

Your spot on more could have been done . Done by HMRC for starters and when did the SFA, who are supposed to be the governing body of Scottish Football, know about Whyte's non-payment? If Traynor & Jackson advised them in October2011 what did they do about it ? were they influenced too? by Regan's old buddy at the SFA who used to work with him at Coors maybe? I'm not sure this was preplanned by Whyte either who was/is a kamikaze businessman who was relying on an early BTC verdict after he took over after which if Rangers won he'd sell Rangers(and make himself a profit) or put Rangers into administration if we lost & blame SDM for that. It never quite worked out the way he'd planned I think -

RANGERRAB replied to RANGERRAB's topic in Rangers Chat
there are 2 major questions which must be answered regards Whyte's ownership of Rangers 1) how did he get Rangers in the first place? was SDM blackmailed into selling by LBG? 2) how did Whyte get away with non-payment of PAYE/NI for so long? -
surely this isn't the 'club for all' as liewell would have anyone believe?

You could be right but who would take that decision inside HMRC ? and why? were they influenced by anyone? -

Wonder if one day we'll see Dermot Desmond's business history in such detail ? -
He'll be able to play three games as a trialist before Sept1 won't he? We're allowed 2 trialist per games aren't we & each trialist can play 3 games for the club under SFL rules.

RANGERRAB replied to RANGERRAB's topic in Rangers Chat
The point is even if payments were made quarterly he was at least 2 ( probably 3) payments behind. Yet HMRC did nothing ? They knew all about Whyte's background & history yet did nothing at all. -

I'm salaried. I get monthly deductions. -
Almost every CA I've spoken to has said what he did is unheard of. To be simply be late for one month normally gets HMRC sending out nasty letters to companies warning of the consequences. Be late again & they're likely to pay a visit and go thro' the company's accounts. Yet Whyte went 4 or 5 months(maybe 6 months?) and paid over not a penny. We now know he used this money to run Rangers becausae he'd none of his own. Why did HMRC take no action? Was there a sinister reason? Was it because they knew they'd lose the BTC and needed Rangers to run up a debt ? Were they influenced by a former labour cabinet minister(now in the Lords) who pulled the strings & used his contacts in HMRC to create as much damage as possible to Rangers ? Of course there's the Regan's SFA too. At what point did they know about Whyte's non-payments ? And what action did they take? As the governing body of Scottish football didn't they have a responsibility to do something ? I've never bought Regan's alleged clain he knew nothing about Whyte til Daly's documentary. As many who've read my posts on here will probably know I'm convinced everything that happened before/after Whyte was a massive set up involving various well-known,well-connected individuals all with a hatred of Rangers.
