......And Willie Collum will be in charge of Scottish referees and refereeing for the next 20 years or so. Let that sink in.

Let the fact that (as I understand it) there will be no Scottish officials at the European Championships this Summer sink in, too.

Ponder why one of Scotland's second -or third, or tenth (you choose)- rate officials is deemed worthy of preferment, of promotion to run refereeing: recruitment, training, development, and appointment to the top grades of officialdom.

It, em, might make you think.

Willie’s now one of Peter’s place men

  2. What’s worrying is Rodgers has had Beaton in his back pocket since their game at Tynecastle when Beaton on VAR( quite correctly) called Robertson (the match ref) to look at the dangerous tackle  by Iowata & upgrade from yellow to red. This incensed Brenda who called out Beaton and the Lawwell-influenced SFA did nothing which was scandalous

Yesterday Beaton was on VAR. At our disallowed goal he knew after Hart flapped at the cross and sima scored hart was  running around claiming he was fouled he had to get Walsh to the monitor to review. Celtic fan Walsh duly chopped off the goal which should have stood.

If Rangers are going to have foreign managers they must be prepared to call this out like Walter would have done. I fear Clement is seen as a soft touch by the Celtic PR machine and the mhedia. Hence why Souness wanted Lampard.

OK even if I am insinuating that there is bias, its not the same as saying there is a conspiracy.

A Celtic supporting referee disallowing a goal scored against Celtic in a Cup Final could indicate bias, but not necessarily a conspiracy.

It's just simple coincidence (or bad luck, or poor judgement)  that only one team has benefited from VAR calls and inly one team has suffered during OF games this season.

Rangers hierarchy(above the team manager)have a duty to the Rangers supporters to question the integrity of match officials in OF games this season.
These officials are unwilling/ afraid/or whatever to give decisions against Celtic in this his fixture

Martin Bain called this out years ago. Over to you james bisgrove

Just get to the point.  Do you think the SFA officials are biased against Rangers: yes or no?

    Yes.
There are 4 officials who biased refereeing OF games: Collum( thankfully now retired), Clancy, Robertson & Walsh

But that doesn't make this the correct call. It would be interesting to hear / see exactly what Walsh was shown on the screen. It was the quickest VAR check this season.

There is no clear and obvious error in the incident. The referee has seen the "mini-fouls" and given the goal. No reason for VAR to get involved.

However if they do get involved they have to review the entire incident which would have led to either the goal.stamdimg or us getting a penalty.

The least obvious outcome was the one the ref and VAR got to within 10 seconds.

Ignoring the dubious VAR decisions won't make them disappear.

Can we ask for the audio between the VAR ref & Walsh?

What are you expecting to be called out? Rankin pushed Hart, there is nothing that can be won by calling anything out other than looking like a bunch of sore losers.

We got away with a handball in the box that I would have been screaming for if it was against us. Football is a game where the referee is given scope to apply their interpretation of the rules, it just happens that our refs are shit.

Now if you're saying Rangers should be suggesting ways to improve refereeing then I would be fully on board with you, but any crying and wailing about bias is for internet forums only.

We have been on the end of some poor decisions in the OF games this season. And it always seems to be the same referees: Collum, Clancy, Robertson & Walsh. There’s a connection between them in case you didn’t know

  7. I watched Clement’s interview after the game. He’s going to have to get tougher with the officials in this country. Otherwise he won’t last as Rangers manager.

Walsh had a poor game today with some dubious calls. It’s always the same when he, Collum, Clancy & Robertson referee Rangers games.

If you watch the incident back, Balogun and Raskin are both being "fouled" before Raskin "fouls" Hart.

As I initially said, it's either a goal or penalty to Rangers, yet Walsh somehow gives a free-kick to Celtic.

Let's remember VAR is only meant to intervene when there is a clear and obvious error. Yet, it's somehow managed to disallow Rangers goals in 3 OF games this season.

It has yet to give a decision against Celtic in an OF game.

    That's some coincidence.

The worst of all was Walsh not sending off Alistair Johnston at the new year game. He was on a yellow & continued to foul but Walsh bottled it to give a second yellow. Even Kenny Miller said so in commentary

  9. Some dubious refereeing again today by Nick Walsh

The clear push on sterling by Scales in the first half was beyond belief. If Walsh missed it surely the assistant referee must have seen it? Debateable whether inside the box(hence no VAR) but a foul all day long & a free kick in a dangerous area.

At the goal chopped off Raskin is penalised for pushing hart but Raskin himself is being held by Taylor. The Celtic keeper is getting nowhere near the ball & wouldnt have got the cross regardless before Sima scores.

The Sterling booking too was beyond belief. He won the ball fairly.

Has Philippe Clement said anything yet?

I am frustrated as to why Fraser (and other youngsters, I suppose) hasn't been given more minutes in a problem position, but Clement explained that when he said our youngsters hadn't been training with the first team properly, which is fair enough; they can't play when they're not up to speed with the style of play.

That goes back to Beale, GvB and SG.

Maybe the previous managers didn’t think the youngsters good enough

You know what the solution is, don't you? A DoF. :D

Our defensive issues have come on over the last month or two. Up until then we we had the best defense.

The problems are a combination of players out of form (Barisic, Goldson, Tavernier), injuries (Balogun, Goldson, Yilmaz, SOUTTAR - And to those in front) and poor team pressing (that won't improve until PC gets them for a pre-season, IMO).

Most if not all of those players you mentioned need replaced

That's the easy answer, and if it makes you feel better about our capitulation in the closing stages of the season, good on you.

Current manager shoulders some responsibility. Baffling team selections, no real playing style, no width in the team, players unable to perform their basic tasks. We look unfit and poorly coached.

Clement deserves time to get his players in, but he isn't blameless for where we currently are.

What if ‘his players’ don’t perform & we end up in the same situation we were in with Beale? We sack the manager & bring in someone else and the process starts all over again?

And I feel like banging my head off a brick wall because we find ourselves in the same situation as last season with a lack of fit CB’s. This needs addressed. We are conceding too many goals.
