Stuart Waiton thinks that it is OK for anyone to say or sing anything about anybody, his views are outdated and largely discredited by most right thinking people.

 

I believe that he got a hearing (just like Spiers) at the Parliamentary Committee on the OB&TCB just to show how out of touch he was with mainstrean thinking.

 

Just because there have been some incredibly lenient sentences for the types of violent acts that he rightly condemns does not mean that offensive language and communications that could lead to violence should be tolerated either.

Do you not think the law is completely wrong when it hands out more severe sentences for offensive language and songs than physical violence ? Ever since McConnell began his attacks on Rangers supporters via his sectarian legislation(which was carried on by the SNP and largely ignores other clubs supporters actions i.e. The GB) we now have a situation where violence is deemed less serious judging by these sentences. A totally ridiculous state of affairs do you not agree?

Stockbridge/Irvine stuff is a side-show.

 

I'm more interested in the business specifics: scouting, coaching, youth system, fan engagement etc. What genuine changes/impoverishments does he see here?

And how to improve the quality of the product from what we've been watching this season and last season?

The challenge facing Graham Wallace is how to reduce costs but at the same time improve the quality of the product on the pitch from what we saw last night and too often this season and last season.That will not be easy without some form of significant investment.The question is whether this board can get that investment and from whom.

Agree but 3-5-2 works if you play players in natural positions. 3 natural centre halves, 5 natural midfielders (this includes holding players, creative players and proper wingers) and 2 strikers. Liverpool have done it this season and done well. And I hate to admit the best Celtic side ive ever seen was under O'Neill played this.

But Ally likes a back four and a holding MF player(black) in the third tier of Scottish football.......

Have you seen the breakdown of that £10m? Only £1.6m went to directors. What from the £10m could we cut?

Wallace & the chairman have a big decision to take at the end of this season regards the manager.

According to the last accounts, did we. It spend just over £10m on non-playing wages.....that is where the real cost cutting MUST be made.....

I can't help wondering why Graham Wallace saw the need to try cutting first team player salaries as one of the first parts of his cost cutting measures instead of this £10m non-playing staff wages which I'd have thought would have been no1 priority

Let's face it this law was targeted at us Rangers supporters first and foremost.You only need to see how much the GB get away with to realise that.

Well we have got 55 players on the books(was56 butAndy Mitchell has left) and that makes 5 teams so do we not need 5 goalkeepers !!!!!

Seriously how over-staffed are we? Why do we need so many players ? All we are at the end of the day is a first XI.

We certainly spend bucket loads of money on it at MP. Whether that is money well spent or not is something Graham Wallace will no doubt be looking at as part of his 120 day business review.

When you see what Swansea City are being investigated for then you would think Celt@c havent a leg to stand on.

Supporters/Shareholders in local government and government bodies selling them land at a fraction of its true value then using this land as security to get loans at the land's true value arranged by the club chairman and a director who were MPs in national government at the time. these loans were at unheard of rates of interest from a now basket case bank.

In the DR interview Wallace seems to talk about adding players in the next two summer transfer windows as we go up the leagues. That will require funding. He needs to explain where that funding will come from if we're looking at cutting players salaries by 15 percent at present.

Why would hedge funds and such like buy shares in the company that owns a football club. Surely they have easier ways of growing their investments.

There's no doubt well need fresh investment in the not too distant future. It remains to be seen if this board can get that investment.

I genuinely believe Wallace if he says we're not going bust but this is yet more negative publicity.Also what players would want to sign for a club who have been trying to introduce wage cuts?

We've an unknown credit line ? Who?

We have a line of credit from whom we don't know but should we use any of it then become unable to pay our debts as they fall due then who ever is behind the line of credit is playing with a very strong hand.
