  1. when you look at duff & phelps in comparison to the outfit that did the same type of job for hearts its night and day there was something going on from the start with whytes desperation to appoint duff & phelps

I think Whyte wanted D&P because his plan was to get the assets returned to him after administration when presumably he would have sold them on to someone debt free. However after D&P discovered what he'd been up to I.e. not paying over PAYE & NI that was never going to be possible

  2. There are many question marks over Duff & Phelps' handling of the whole process. I'm still convinced that they were just another one of the pigs feeding from the trough.

I'm convinced they were grossly incompetent. Why were we in administration for so long when it was obvious from the start HMRC had no intention of doing a CVA over Whyte's non -payment of PAYE&NI. Maybe this is one of many areas into which the a Insolvency service will focus their investigations

  3. His club certainly benefits from the money the bigger clubs attract and bring into the game, but I wouldn't necessarily agree that they rely on us. Small, but well run clubs like Ross County will always try to live within their means. If they have less money, they will spend less money. It's a simple common sense logic that recent & current custodians of our own Club appear to not understand.

A number of years ago Donald Findlay warned that Scottish football should have one professional league and that would be all.Frankly if Scottish football is ever to prosper again then we would need to head in that direction and set up a single league containing the biggest clubs with no relegation from that league for a number of years. Clubs like Ross County and Hamilton Accies wouldn't be in it. To me they're barely compatible with Conference clubs down south in terms of size.

  4. Having spend years in the EPL will have made Cuellar a rather rich person. Might well be that he ain't looking for a pay off ... and I reckon he will know what we are able to offer.

    Now for Lampard! :fish2:

Doubt it very much .....and that goes for Miller and Boyd too.

I reckon we'll only sign players from now on who have a potential sell on value such as Scott Allan(if we sign him)

  5. eck did very well for us and the football was good over the piece. 3 up front mostly.

Hmmmm.... Not sure I'd agree there GS. He was in charge for four and a half years at Rangers winning seven trophies. He inherited Advocaat's expensive side and won five trophies in the first eighteen months. The following three years he won just two trophies including helicopter sunday. These three years were pretty awful if we are honest. Once MacLeish had to put his own side on the park(albeit on a much reduced budget from Advocaat's) the writing was on the wall

  6. What about the other 50odd thousand who sang it throughout the season?

@Rangeritis ... these songs are not "naughty", they are pro-terrorist bile. It is one thing singing cynical, even sectarian (though that word needs to be defined first) songs or banter at the opposition. It is another praising and hailing people responsible for the death of innocent people, British citizens at that. Especially if the latter version of songs is prohibited by law since 2006.

There is no political will in this country to tackle this vile club unfortunately and so they will continue to get away relatively unscathed

  7. What don't people understand. King has made his position clear from the beginning. When there's a new share he'll weigh in

If there's a new share issue then shares need to be offered to existing shareholders first

  8. Good news if true. Next season we need to ensure we get back up to the top division and back into Europe again.

The board now need to show us how they intend to achieve this via funding

  9. Lennon's and Celtic FC open support for Irish republicanism and acceptance of IRA militants within their club, is always going to cause controversy in Scotland.

it is quite unbelievable that the authorities in this country continue to do little to stop this vile club and its support in these actions.

  10. we can not afford to get rid of super. there is no money for it.

people should resign themselves to that. especially board supporters.

Cant we put him on one years notice meaning he'd go at the end of next season? Thats my understanding of his rolling contract as explained to me on here

  11. It has been reported on many occasions and different sources that McCoist is on a one year following contract. That being the case it means he starts a new year every day. So they could give him a years notice and save on pay off, but that is very doubtful. If sacked he is due whatever the small print in his contract says, as it's a rolling year contract I would think he will be due one years money.

But surely thats what they would do i.e. give him a years notice and save on pay off ?

Ive no knowledge of rolling contracts so no idea how the best way to remove him would be

  12. That would not be a "rolling contract". He would be due a years salary if sacked.

So are you saying if Rangers want to get rid off McCoist they have to pay him a years salary? What notice do they need to give him then ? (-I'm assuming he does have a rolling contract BTW)

  13. "Let's just cover more Championship games than top flight games!" ??

I'm sure I read the Dundee chairman saying that the TV deal only allows 18 SPFL championship games next season.
