  1. Looking back on the OF game at the penalty handball there’s no doubt a VAR review should’ve been done(as opposed to a check) but whether offside would have ruled out the penalty is dubious because if the latest IFAB offside rules were applied (assuming the official were aware of them) Sima might not have been given offside as he never touched the ball or prevented the opponent from playing it. A bigger issue for me was why match referee Walsh didn’t give a second yellow card to yahoos RB Alistair Johnston.
  2. A good reaction today following Saturday’s disappointment at the girodome which wasn’t all of our own making The two goals before halftime settled us despite Beaton awarding a penalty to Killie to please the mhedia. I dislike Beaton & have never forgiven him for the 3-2 game at ibrox in 2017 against hibz. I thought we were better second half & should have got more goals. I hope this doesn’t come back to haunt us later in the season. one final wee point about McAusland. Is it just me or does he cut inside too often? Go outside, head for the byline and put a ball into the six yard box
  3. When did Celtic last get a player sent off against Rangers at Celtic park? Anyone know? They should have had 2 sent off on Saturday
  4. For the offside to have been investigated there would need to have been a VAR review(play halted, referee puts finger to ear) as opposed to a VAR check( background check by VAR ref play not stopped) In this instance I believe all there was only a VAR check which missed the handball. A VAR review (assuming it saw the handball) would maybe have meant lines drawn across the pitch from the 2nd last defender & sima using VAR’s Hawkeye as opposed to the SKY image we got midway thro the second half which was nothing more than a photo from a camera with thick lines drawn across the pitch from defender & sima Totally inconclusive
  5. It’s debatable if sima can be called offside if he doesn’t touch the ball what about the Dessers penalty? Bug eyes doesn’t touch the ball but brings him down. Penalty & a red card in my opinion
  6. In what way? do you think we got a fair deal from the officials on Saturday?
  7. Still doesn’t explain why it took half an hour to come up with the image purportedly showing sima offside when Lundstrum played the ball. were they doctoring the image to suit their agenda? Some suggestions sima wasn’t offside depending where /how the picture is taken
  8. Why did it take 30minutes for them to come up with the image showing sima offside? Normally this is done at the time of the incident in less than a minute. Something not right here.
  9. They effectively gave a decision and a reason for that decision then half an hour later come up with a different reason because they realised the original reason was incorrect. Unfortunately football(like all sports presumably)doesn’t work like that. It’s incompetence or corruption. Maybe both.
  10. The offside ( if it was offside) was missed.
  11. As per my above post 😎 offside would have to have been given by the match referee or linesman. It wasn’t given offside. Play restarted with a goal kick
  12. My understanding was VAR and Bly rules on offside at goals. Yesterday wasn’t a goal so VAR couldn’t call offside
  13. Much debate about the handball penalty and the incompetence of the officials but I thought the Dessers one was more of a penalty because Johnston doesn’t play the ball & brings down Dessers. Was Collum asleep again? And the biggest mystery of all, how did Johnston & Bernardo avoid second yellow cards? During the live commentary Kenny Miller made the point johnston had committed 3 or 4 fouls since his booking. Only Walsh can explain that one. When was a Celtic player last sent off at Celtic park against Rangers ?
  14. Aye maybe if we get match officials who aren’t corrupt
  15. The sequence of events before and after the johnston handball penalty incident between the match referee & VAR referee needs investigated. It was deeply suspicious that offside was brought up in the second half commentary nearly 30 minutes after the incident. My understanding is SKY have access to communications between the match referee & VAR referee during the game. W as it mentioned at the time? And is offside applicable here in any case? Does it not only apply with VAR for goals only?
  16. Doesn’t SKY get access to this during the game? Surely we’d know if offside was mentioned in communication between the match referee & the VAR referee at the time of the penalty incident . But offside is irrelevant in this instance as it’s only for goals with VAR. It was definitely suspicious that this got brought up during the second half of the game 30 minutes after the incident. Someone (?) at the SFA communicated this to SKY. Who?
  17. As I see it the incidents today which went against us were:- 1) penalty for handball against johnston not given. Clear & obvious error. Offside only used for goal instances. rangers request VAR audio to see if offside gets mentioned 2) Both Alistair johnston & Paolo Bernardo should have been red carded for two yellows 3) I also believe that at the Dessers miss in the first half he is brought down in the penalty box. Johnston doesn’t get a touch on the ball 4) some suggestions at their first goal the ball went out of play when the corner was taken
  18. Our biggest problem in my opinion is successful signings(the major ones). Too many flop or don’t live upto expectations. I still think we’re well behind other clubs in that department including our chums from the east end
  19. Angeball burst at spurs
  20. Fabio Silva on loan has certainly ruffled a few feathers.
  21. Did they show Gallagher the handball ? I suspect not
  22. What about the other so-called Motherwell penalty claim involving Yilmaz when the guy clearly dived? He was already on a yellow IIRC
  23. Man City aren’t. They’re under investigation
  24. Might be their last before the EPL investigations against them begin
