  1. Prior managed to acquire shares. Laxey managed to acquire additional shares. They voted off Crichton but they wouldnt have voted off someone whom the fans could have identified with.
  2. In an ideal world we'd be owned & run by 'Rangers men' but these are not normal times are they? Our situation is desperate & we need help and fast. We're also facing the prospect of not getting promotion this season and who knows the financial implications of that. I applaud messrs King, Park, Letham & Taylor for getting these shares last week. I wish they'd done it a lot sooner. Then We might not be where we are at the moment. Had they got these shares sooner they'd have got board representation. That would have helped no end. The current board would have voted off their representative(s) at their peril. Then we would have had a better chance of avoiding the impending financial meltdown as attendances wouldnt have fallen as they have for starters.People on the board who were both Rangers men and knew something about football which the current board do not. That is why I think Sarver's bid has to be considered very seriously indeed once he fully outlines his plans. For example who would he get to run Rangers? Perhaps PM as CEO & MM as chairman? That would be popular amongst a large section of our support. Surely he'd getrid off the entire board we currently have? Easdales 'investment at rhe press of a button' now has a very hollow ring to it does it not? But I believe in Sarver we have someone who has the financial clout and genuinely wants Rangers to succeed as we all must surely do
  3. Ridiculous idea. Not affordable this time round as we're discovering. What would make next time different?
  4. but surely King,Park,Letham,Taylor & others have already got over 50% backing? what's stopping them?
  5. So why are they still there? If King, Park, Letham & Taylor plus supporters control the majority of shares why dont they remove them
  6. Most meaningless appointment of all time. Wont be there by end of the month. What's stopping King, Park,Letham & Taylor calling an EGM to remove the current board including Barry John Leach?
  7. No chance whatsoever of this happening whilst McDowall remains as our reluctant caretaker manager
  8. This whole Robert Sarver story looks like a load of nonsense to me It has all the hallmarks of someone with an axe to grind following the shares acquisitions last week by putting out this story about a supposedly better option. As MB says why would he be interested in us anyway?
  9. Unless they can prove they are good enough for the standard we want these youngsters serve no purpose to us. Harsh but that is the way things are at Rangers.
  10. Is Kenny McLean of the standard we want? I mean if the mighty Fleetwood are after him then that says it all does it not? I think this only reinforces my point about producing players from a youth set up good enough to play at the level we want to be at. And that level is Premiership champions and in Europe beyond Christmas. Getting players for that level is easier IMO who have played for another club and whose level can be easier assessed. An untried youth is different and much harder although not impossible
  11. Do they not like us ? The Newcastle fans that is
  12. A Youth Set Up is ultimately a gamble. There are always a couple of issues as I see it- 1) It may not produces players good enough for the first team at the level we want to be at i.e.Premiership champions and doing well in Europe 2) How can you be sure were signing the best youths and those at other clubs arent betterthan ours ? D'Art mentioned Steven Pressley. He came thro at Rangers but was never of the standard we'd hoped for.And if the lad Urquhart is so good why is he in the third tier of Scottish football? So often nowadays a manager will want to recruit players who have gained experience elsewhere. Introducing youth into a first team is dificult at the best of times which is why I think putting the likes of McKay and Gallagher out on loan will be beneficial to Rangers in the longer term.Very few youths will get into the first team. We need to remember that.
  13. How are they sitting on a tidy profit? The share price has gone from 70p to 20p. I'd be more interested to find out who the people are behind BPH & Margerita.Could it be Ashley?
  14. Won't happen. He resigned of his own accord. There is no obligation now to take him back
  15. What answers was McLaughlin looking for from Doncaster?
  16. Oh Angie Babe how I sense your hurt..... As you like to think of yourself as an Investigative Journalist (stop laughing at the back.....)why don't you investigate the club that used political connections to secure ultra soft loans from a now basket case bank ? Or you could investigate the appointment of the SFA chief exec? Surely he wasn't recruited (for the last time stop laughing at the back..) by a recruitment agency in which your team's chairman's son was employed? And was anyone else interviewed for this position? Plenty others too. Or do you only do Rangers stuff ????
  17. And there needs to be an improvement on the park as a top priority for them.Otherwise people won't turn up to support the team. I agree - their work is cut out for them
  18. You mention fan ownership. Wouldn't you consider Park, Letham, Taylor and King as fans?
  19. LOL. Someone should ask McNally about Dermot Desmond. When did he last pay tax in Oirlund? And how about his former betdaq company getting thrown out Australia for being a 'rogue operator' ? That ok Brian is it? And do our SFA chums still do the same 'fit and proper persons test' Whyte must have passed?
