  1. Belter of a player - his movement off the ball, timing of his runs behind his strikers and his work rate were fantastic. I always felt his best position was behind the strikers due to the timing of his runs - almost like a slightly more advanced Ian Durrant.

I don't blame him, even for that press conference - he and Whittaker were clearly ill-advised - who advised them ? Who knows. Everyone makes poor decisions and I am sure Naismith regrets having that Presser.

Well let him come out & apologise for that press conference then. Tell us who told him that nonsense. I think we know anyway

  2. It'll be back in our hands soon enough as long as we don't let the gap widen any further.

LOL. Have you looked at our next four fixtures and Hertz next four fixtures? We're away to QOS and Hibz in 2 of them and at home to Coodenbeath and Livi. Hertz have got 4 games against the bottom sides.I'd fancy us to drop points more than Hertz

We need to face facts that this league title is gone.We will only get promoted via play offs no matter how difficult that is to accept for some of us

  3. You seem to have a very defeatist attitude to our chances of league success Rab.

We've only played 14 games from 36 league games, with 22 still to play, so we're not even 40% of the way through the season.

There's a long way to go and absolutely no chance that Hearts will keep up their unbeaten run indefinitely.

This league is still ours to throw away IMO, but we clearly need to stop dropping points and win most of our games.

Can only go on what I've seen so far. It is very worrying indeed IMO.

I genuinely believe there is every chance we will not get promoted this season unless we get 3 or 4 quality players in January.

  4. A good manager could win this division without bringing in any new faces. We should not be employing anyone whose intention is to bring in players to reach the playoffs.

The division must be won. Nothing less will do.

We are not going to win this division now. You have to realise that.

If anything Hertz will increase their 9 point lead as opposed to us reducing it.

Our only hope for promotion is playoffs where we'd face an improving Hibz side who have already won at ibrox

  5. If Jackson wanted to please the Celtic-minded, he wouldn't be writing articles like the above.

The Celtic support wants Ally to be given a ten-year contract with a ten-year option. The last thing they want is to see the subject of him leaving Rangers raised.

They are worried that we might actually bring in a good manager.

A 'good manager' will want funds to bring in new players to at least give us a chance of promotion via playoffs.

Not sure that's possible at present

  6. I would urge Daly to help his manager by going for the ball rather than the man when crosses come in. If you're not going to win the ball, Jon, work out where the defender has to be to get it and make sure you're there first. That way you still won't win the ball but you might get the foul in your favour instead of the other way round which happened endlessly on Saturday.

I agree with most of what you say but don't you think a player like Daly needs proper service? A wide player putting crosses would have been a better option than Smith. All I saw constantly was the usual long ball to Daly 30 yards from goal.

I also think McCoist should seriously consider playing Daly and Clark next Sunday. They played together not too badly last season and we have to be honest both Miller & Boyd have been extremely disappointing

  7. Who are you thinking of? I had a think about his transfer dealings yesterday and the only one I could really think of was Lee Wallace. And Bocanegra wasn't a bad signing either. Struggled for any more ..........

Edit: this probably merits it's own thread.

sone aluko maybe? an excellent signing.

But I'm not defending McCoist. He has to go

  8. They own McCoist, bought his soul a wee while back, and very cheaply in their eyes. He fits their purpose spectacularly well.

A very cheap deflection and denial tool, he is allowing them to plunder cash, not costing them. He will only get hung out when it suits them.

Plundering cash? Do tell us. Who got what?

  9. I imagine all you would have to do yo stop king talking about boycotts is take the cash he's offering off him.

Wouldn't disagree. We need cash from somewhere to get 3 or 4 quality players in January otherwise we face another season in the championship. That is where we are and everyone needs to realise that although the big question is would anyone let Ally recruit these players? I wouldnt

  10. Ashley will not want to put a penny into rangers he doesn't have to.

He would probably happily let king fund us if his onerous contracts are all tied up tight.

But Ashley can only deliver 8 percent voting.

No matter how difficult it may be Ashley and King are going to have to sort things out.

It will mean concessions on either side

Ashley needs to ditch the Easdales & their chum jack for starters

King needs to stop all the boycott nonsense once and for all.

FWIW I think Ashley needs King's support for us to move forward

  11. Hunter sums it up for me Rab. We've no money to sack him unless Ashley increases his loan which we also can't afford. We're fucked from top to bottom.

In all honesty any true Rangers would resign with dignity and no demands.

McCoist has no dignity. Just selfish pride and over confidence in his own ability as Rangers manager.

As Isaid earlier he needs removed. But how?
