11 players released including Boyd and McCulloch

The only one I'd have kept is Lee Robinson simply because he's a better keeper than Bell (not difficult I know). I'd have given him another years deal. The thought of Bell being our only keeper is scary -
New management team: Mark Warburton and David Weir
RANGERRAB replied to gisabeer's topic in Rangers Chat
He left Brentford because the owner wanted to install a DoF and Warburton didn't want to work for one. Warburton seems to have the sort of background we would be looking for I'd have thought but I don't think he is cert by any means. I do think we should at least interview him and see what he's got to say. If it doesn't seem right move on to another candidate. -
No OF games & no Edinburgh derbies next season. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if SKY were thinking of ditching Scottish Football. The damage Liewell and his 'sporting integrity' will cause Scottish football if SKY pull out is incalculable.I'd imagine part time football would beckon for half the teams in the top division anyway. Throwing your biggest cash cow out of the top division must rank up there with the biggest commercial blunders of all time like Gerald Ratner and the 'crap' jewellery his shops sold

I'd be surprised if they said anything. They'll hope it all blows over no doubt.
-
No they just wrecked the places. Much worse maybe
-
Was there any investigation into the yahoos behaviour at Dundee, Hertz & Motherwell ? There won't be any investigation here either. It wasn't our supporters so they will not do anything
-
They should have mentioned the provocation. Had there been no provocation the incident wouldn't have occurred
-
does anyone really believe there will be an investigation into the Motherwell supporters' behaviour?

A manager needs to be appointed first before anything can be done. Who decides who stays, who goes & who gets signed? -
We need more than that. We need a RB and more creatvity in MF as well. And pace up front too
-
An appointment needs to be made quickly. The re-building must start immediately. A new manager needs to assess the situation and start getting new players right away. We don't need to replace every single player out of contract but as a priority the positions we're weakest in such as RB, left MF etc.

McCall's managerial record is not great. What is there in it to suggest he is the best candidate for the job? Had he not played for a Rangers would he be considered?

We need to start an interview process right away if it's been decided we're not having a DoF. Invite applications immediately and see who applies.Someone like Mark Warburton & Davie Weir appeals to me but we need to keep an open mind -

If the right manager gets appointed he will have sufficient contacts in the game & will be able to get players who may even be loan signings. -

Once the new manager is named players will be brought in to replace the ones leaving. Whether they're good enough is another matter -

Of all the out of contract players we have the only one I would consider retaining is Lee Robinson the goalkeeper. I now think we've a problem in that position and Robinson is the best we've got at the moment. The rest can go & no offer whatsoever should be made to them -

Who? Mbabu? -
I reckon thats exactly what he thought when KingCo took over after the EGM. No chance of that though. They probably had him sussed before they got in

The SC will be our only route into europe at the end of next season. Vital we at least get to the final -

Hopefully not the U20 youths that got pumped 5-2 by the yahoos. Very easy to say play youths. They must be good enough. Most of ours are mediocre IMO -

The board have a massive decision to take in appointing the manager. They must not get it wrong -
We should at least interview Warburton. See what he's got to say. If he doesnt seem suitable then fine. Move on to someone else. We need to start thinking outside the 'Rangers men' mentality and get the best we can get.

Remi Streete has already left Newcastle. Looked a decent CB for the 34 minutes he played against Raith in the SC until he got injured. I'd give him a years contract to prove himself. He's the right age too instead of the thirty somethings we've been signing too often.
