Listening to the podcast last night and was interested to hear Chris Jack and the guys say they would be happy to keep Borna for his last year to see it out and let him go on a free. It’s as if we never learn. That didn’t work with Kent or Morelos. Even if we sold him for 1 million it’s 1 million towards a replacement we won’t have if he walks for free.

Borna is another one that peaked at 55 and it’s been rapidly downhill since.

I recall him having a mini lap of honour after we beat them 1-0 at Ibrox when Gerrard had Covid. It was as if he had a move lined up and was away. Yet nothing transpired.

Guys like Borna, Kamara, Lundstram need to be moved on.

I think we’ll need to look at LB anyway if RY leaves. If he does leave then BB would be best to stay until we got another LB

I am convinced we've seen the best of Alfredo, wherever he ends up he'll never hit the heights he did for us in the EL. He's a poor finisher with a questionable work ethic and attitude. On his day he's unplayable, but those days are few and far between sadly, goodbye and thanks Alfie.

I'm also not convinced there isn't a player within Matondo, and I'm also of the opinion that big Souttar is a far better option than Davies.

Looking forward to next season, when I think Beale will significantly improve us.

He will only improve us if his signings are better than what we’ve already got. We will need at least one striker, one CB and one GK. And other positions too depending on who leaves

That old main stand at Dens Park must be the death trap of all death traps. Not seen anything like it since the old Hampden.

Is Dens Park still owned by a Dundee United director?

If true, that could potentially be as many as 15 players leaving, which I suppose is the sort of number it will take to reduce the squad size, root out the deadwood and make a significant difference.

On those not out of contract we’re hoping to offload much will depend on whether the player is willing to leave and maybe accept a lower wage elsewhere. Not always easy.

Yeah just the one 12 million pound player so far. 😂

When do you think we’ll get another 13 million pound player then? See any? 🤪

not exactly at the Ajax or Benfica level are we despite throwing who knows how much money at the youth academy?

and we’ve spent the Patterson money on NEH 🙃

  7. I see Kris Boyd now saying that Jack Butland wanted a move to Rangers last summer.
If that’s true questions need asked about the DoF and why he didn’t pursue it.

Butland wasn’t out of contract last summer so presumably there would have been a transfer fee.
Was that fee too much for us  or did he(& presumably the manager GvB) think the goalkeeper situation was ok for another year or so. If that was the case it was quite a bad error of judgement
