Borna is another one that peaked at 55 and it’s been rapidly downhill since.

 

I recall him having a mini lap of honour after we beat them 1-0 at Ibrox when Gerrard had Covid. It was as if he had a move lined up and was away. Yet nothing transpired.

 

 

Guys like Borna, Kamara, Lundstram need to be moved on. 
 

 

I think we’ll need to look at LB anyway if RY leaves. If he does leave then BB would be best to stay until we got another LB

He will only improve us if his signings are better than what we’ve already got. We will need at least one striker, one CB and one GK. And other positions too depending on who leaves

Good luck to young Raskin. I hope he gets his dream move to the EPL and we get a large transfer fee. Hopefully our ex-DOF hasn’t put silly clauses in his contract meaning we have to give Liege a high percentage of any future sale

Is there a chance maybe Kent & Morelos will sign new deals as free agents like Goldson did at the end of last season meaning sell on clauses for their previous clubs will be binned?

My guess is we’re going to see one or two arrivals at boardroom level who’ll bring financial backing. These individuals will want their own people in place running the club in the key roles.

On those not out of contract we’re hoping to offload much will depend on whether the player is willing to leave and maybe accept a lower wage elsewhere. Not always easy.

I see Kris Boyd now saying that Jack Butland wanted a move to Rangers last summer.
If that’s true questions need asked about the DoF and why he didn’t pursue it.

Butland wasn’t out of contract last summer so presumably there would have been a transfer fee.
Was that fee too much for us  or did he(& presumably the manager GvB) think the goalkeeper situation was ok for another year or so. If that was the case it was quite a bad error of judgement 

Our youth academy seems to be one big white elephant. Produces virtually no one for the first team squad (Patterson the exception)

I’d doubt if Ryan Jack would want a pay-per-play deal if he’d offers from elsewhere.

My view is he should be retained on a one year deal mainly for Europe where we need home based players
