  1. cruciate ligament injury kept him out 8 months.

Ligaments can be a major problem

Would that stop us or anyone from signing him? Plenty players have had this type of injury and recovered

  2. This lad has only played a handful of games, some as a substitute, but has already scored 4 goals.

I think that he is proving to be a most valuable member of the team and it is time that he had his own thread. This could be a great place to share our favourite Haris Vučkić moments or even debate his merits.

    Anyone?

He's scored five goals - four in the league & one in the SC.

Hope we can sign him permanently in the summer. My biggest fear is the yahoos try to sign him

  3. 32,682 yesterday.

    Predictable or surprising?

Yesterday's figure was about double the figure we'd have got had the old board still been there.

Dont get me wrong though, the new board have still to prove themselves

  4. Anything less than six should be considered a failure against a country who should not be competing in International football.

The much lauded wee Chesney still hasn't properly replaced Kenny Miller as Scotland's main striker over a year after he retired from International football and that has to be a concern.

  5. Todays children.

I took the grandkids down to the park after school for a kick-about a week ago last Friday, there were other kids already playing there with a smattering of uninterested grandpas and grannies sitting about on the very limited park benches available.

Eventually all the kids had a game together with me acting as ref. The ages ranged from about 5 to 12. After the game I took it upon myself to entertain the youngsters quizzing them on 'nicknames' for football clubs mainly English clubs because I knew most of them.

After exhausting that part I moved on to Scottish clubs Alloa, Wasps - Queens Park, Spiders etc etc...

There was one wee 9 year old guy wearing a Celtic top who didn't know his own teams nickname, I told him it was the 'The Bhoys' - he appeared to look blank and none the wiser, when I asked what Rangers nickname was, he quickly and enthusiastically replied 'The H*ns'

I said to my kids "Right boys, we have to go now"

And there lies the problem with separate schooling in this country.......

  6. First of all Naismith would need to come clean & tell us who it was who was behind the 'I dont want to play for Sevco' nonsense at THAT press conference

Were Wishart's players union's legal mob Bridge Litigation involved ?

FWIW I dont think theres anything left in accusing these players as money-grabbers after what was to emerge about McCoist's remuneration and contractual details

  7. He was never worth what WS paid for him in 2008 & was never a prolific scorer in the four years at Rangers.

I believe he's on loan at some Turkish club from Norwich & is probably on the look out for a new club as Norwich dont want him back.

    Keep looking Kyle.....

  8. Sometimes it's better to do your talking on the park, Dundee United lost yet again to them, they are miles away from being the 2nd best club in Scotland while we're away.

So much for them sending us into the fourth tier.

They never sent us to the fourth tier.

They(& others) only voted us out the SPL and we then had to apply for SFL membership.

It was the SFL clubs who voted to put as in SFL3 as it was known then

  9. This will go down well in here.

Ridiculous statement from our interim manager.

Does he consider McCulloch indispensable? He is well past his best(whatever that was) and is now being accommodated at CB which is a position he cannot play well enough to be in the team.

Stuart McCall's two predecessors this season both resolutely stood by Lee McCulloch and both should now realise he was a major factor in their demise. If McCall doesn't realise this he will meet the same fate

  10. Perhaps we shouldn't read too much into McCall's comments then. If McCall remains manager next season then new players will be needed from somewhere. Maybe one or two of these players may be a possibility if they can prove themselves. They do have a better pedigree coming from an EPL club than some of the players we've had over these past few years.

What we mustn't do again, like Ally McCoist did too often, was to get out of contract players from the top division in this country and offer them whacking great wage increases to drop down divisions to play for us.These were mostly older players too with little or no possible sell-on fee

  11. Willie Vass took training pics yesterday and Kevin Mbabu was featuring there, after playing one or two u20 games.

Mbabu - the only one of the five whose contract runs out in the summer.

Remy Streete's contract runs out in the summer too I believe.

I've taken the view that Newcastle want rid off these players and are using Rangers as a shop window for them. If theyre any good then maybe we'd get first option on them but at present I'd say that very unlikely due to the non-appearances

I dont understand McCall's comments about Ferguson after Newcastle manager Carver said he was only 2 or 3 weeks away from playing.
