That's got to be the worst excuse ever
-
There will be one. Daly's doing his research as we speak...
-
Let's hope his replacement can get the number of goals the much-maligned Law got last season. We might need it too. We've only got one forward who will get a decent amount of goals as things currently stand
-
After last season's lack of goals from our strikers it was utter madness to think we could rely on Miller or Clark to get goals alongside Waghorn. One if not two strikers with proven scoring records will be needed in January if we're to be guaranteed of getting promotion either via play-offs or as champions

Maybe we should try both Holt & Law(when fit) in the same MF. Both goal scoring MF players. It might compensate for our shortage of goals from up front(except Waghorn)

Transfer Deadline Day: Michael O'Halloran signs until 2020
RANGERRAB replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
What we don't know is the amount of money MW & DW will have to spend in January. Adding the quality we need up front & central MF will require serious money to be spent unless we go down the loan route again. -

Looks as if he'd be a good signing, probably next summer. Ticks a lot of boxes. -
Ashley Fails in Legal Bid to Interfere with Rangers AGM

But if he continues to lose such cases then surely he is liable for legal costs incurred? -
Mark McGhee making mischief as he raises issue of Rangers EBTs
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I hope our board seek some sort of explanation if McGhee has made such comments. As Scotland assistant Manager he should not be jumping on the bandwagon of lies about these EBT's along with the rest of the pondlife in this country -

Telfer must surely regret going to DUTD. Does he still get a game? -

Nope stand by what I said. Scoring goals at U19 level gives no indication whatsoever. He may well gets his chance though as we're woefully short up front because this wasn't fixed during the summer when only Waghorn was signed -
Transfer Deadline Day: Michael O'Halloran signs until 2020
RANGERRAB replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Scoring in a U19 game is no indication whatsoever. The vast majority of these lads won't be playing profesional football in 5 to 10 years time. That said Hardie may well be worth a go. Clark is well below the standard we require & Miller hasn't scored for nearly three months now( so he gets a contract extension -

First and foremost need a striker to play alongside Waghorn when the transfer window opens -
Really? In what way. Do explain

Celt@c boards, past & present, have encouraged militant Irish Republicanism. The formation of the GB is one such example. It is now out of control and no one knows how to stop it. No chance of Rhegan's SFA doing anything is there? Westminster sees it as a Holyrood issue & weak Scottish politicians are unwilling to do anything in fear of losing votes. I salute this guy for writing this but he's in a very small minority supporting a club the vast majority of whose support despise this country whom he served.

Ex-Ger Davis pleads with Warbs to stay at Ibrox
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Who are these players then & would they be as good as Davis? Not to mention their wage demands. Last summer a load of players left Rangers when their contracts expired. Most were 30-ish or over. It no longer makes commercial sense for us giving players that age lucrative contracts which more often than not they wouldn't get elsewhere. -

I've no idea what Steve Davis earns at Southampton but there's no way he'd leave there & return to us for a fraction of his Southampton salary -

Steve Davis is 30 now. Too old now unfortunately. No sell-on value. -
Clark will be gone at the end of the season if not in January.

Damp squib? That's a kind description of him IMO. He was found out time and time again in the lower leagues by managers of teams on a fraction of the budget he had. He kept his job(& the ridiculous salary) because the previous unpopular board were effectively using him as a shield to protect themselves and wouldn't get rid off him. That was unsustainable & eventually he left when the results & performances became so bad there was no alternative. My biggest worry is that our support are expecting too much too soon of MW & SDoW and the team they've assembled since the start of the season. As I said in an earlier post there's only usually one player in their starting XI from last season & there's certainly 2 or 3 positions still needing strengthened most notably up front. Getting a striker of the calibre we need won't be easy with the money we're likely to have to spend though. You need only look at the money the yahoos have wasted on strikers these last few years to see what I mean.
