So if the DoF signs all of the players and they turn out to be duds the manager takes the responsibility for that? And pays with his job no doubt.

When interviewed up here he had a habit of giving nothing away, effectively saying nothing of note. Lapdog journos & interviewers unwilling to do their jobs properly 

He won’t get away with that in the EPL, especially if things aren’t going well.

two things concern me:

1) lack of game time past 2 seasons ( as SAF would say before signing a player,  check his attendance record )

2) signing him on 4 year deal at £30k per week(?)we’re stuck with him if he loses form, gets dropped and sees out his contract. Think Matondo & you’ll get what I mean
 

We’d have been better getting a younger keeper & battling it out with McCrorie for the number1 jersey IMO

I think we’ll need to bring in a couple of strikers. Alfie’s gone & Roofe simply isn’t available often enough 

Either Kevin Nisbet or Shankland would make sense. Probably Nisbet as he’s more readily available with just one year left in his contract.

Leicester and So’ton are pretty much middle of the roaders. I can see So’ton coming straight back up, Leeds not so much nor Leicester. You’re right. They should have kept Rogers.

Leicester’s business model was high risk.
It was very dependent on buying then selling players for high profits margins like Mahrez,Maguire, N’Golo Kante, Chilwell etc

No sales in recent years meant they couldn’t recruit as they’d previously being doing

Good question. Is his contract getting extended? Is he joining our coaching staff?

Returning to the original post(St Boo 0 Rangers 3) it was good to see us finishing the season strongly.

5 wins out of 5 post split were denied by a late, late goal by hertz last Wednesday in time added on upon time added on(4th official showed 3 mins & they scored in the 94th)

Since the turn of the year there have been some encouraging signs……

Both the Cantwell & Raskin signings have been good so far. 
McCrorie has shown he might be able to replace McGregor(if he can stop flapping at crosses)

Souttar has been exceptional since coming into the side. So much so maybe Goldson might start to get worried if we sign a left sided CB to replace Davies who may head back south if the rumours I’ve heard are true. The only concern about Souttar is whether he can play 50 odd games per season.

Sakala seems to have found a bit of goal scoring form.

RidvannYilmaz  looks comfortable at LB although if Galatasaray make a decent offer(as rumoured) he might go

MB has made a good impact by steadying a rudderless ship. We ended up with 92 league pts which in most normal leagues ( other than the SPFL) we would’ve been champions. However MB does need more OF wins. Had we got Cantwell & Raskin signed earlier in January they might have started the LC final. Maybe that’s something our ex-DoF could tell us about.

A few good signings over the summer & we’ll be better prepared for the new season than we’ve been for the past 2. And(hopefully) we won’t need to make it 3IAR changing the manager 3 or 4 months into the new season. 🤓

From what I’ve seen of him,Devine is competent, nothing more. He’s no Nathan Paterson. We need better but no idea how good Zukowski is

I think kamara will be sold to somebody but not for gazillions & Roofe will see out the final year of his contract

He was held in similar regard to Cantwell as a youngster. The difference being Cantwell has had more PL experience.
