  1. We should never have bid for Allan no matter if we were interested or not but simply told him to sign a pre contract in January.

We've given our haters an opportunity to embarrass us & they've duly taken it. Hibz were never selling to us at any price

  2. What I Don't understand is why Allan asked for a transfer with less than a year left on his contract. He is free to sign a pre contract in January anyway.

Look at what De Gea is doing at Man Utd. It's obvious he's going to Real Madrid either now , January or at the end of the season. He hasn't asked for a transfer.

Allan could do the same. If he ends up with the yahoos I genuinely believe he'll regret it given his background. He should speak to me Kenny Miller who found out what it is like to go there with previous Rangers connections.

  3. Things are looking better than they were last season that's for sure(could they have got worse ?) but I think it's a bit early after just three games to say 'we're on our way back' or anything like that. I'd say around October/November we'll have a clearer picture of where we are

  4. Winning the scottish cup and getting into Europe will be high on warburtons list. And if we get the rotten mob in the final we will be guarenteed a place. Its not beyond us either. Infact ill be well dissapointed if were not.

Do the SC runners up get a EL place? Think was stopped after Hibz in 2013.

Seems very strange if the sponsors were ok with this

  5. Can someone tell me where Allan would play in our system? It is clear we need quality in certain areas, like centre forward and goalkeeper. We have Holt, Halliday, Law, Shiels and others for the three midfield slots, with Eustace in training expected to sign. From what I remember of the little I noticed Allan last season, plus how our midfielders have started, he is not going to improve our starting 11, and so therefore will be on the bench most weeks.

I don't want us paying decent money to a scumbag club for a squad player.

Allan is a better player than Holt,Halliday,Law & Shiels. That's why we're trying to sign him

  6. We need 5 players for one position?

We need someone to play alongside Waghorn up front.

I think young Hardie will go out on loan somewhere. Clark will be offloaded somewhere if anyone will take him. And Miller will see out the final year of his contract here but won't play every week. That leaves an opening for someone to come in who can get 25 goals per season.

You can see by the stats we're not scoring enough goals for the chances created. MW isn't stupid. He will be fully aware of this. He will bring someone else in before the transfer window shuts

  7. It would be Motherwell who would be charged for not providing proper stewarding to prevent this.

They could never have predicted that sort of yahoo riot & got sufficient stewarding for it.

The blame lies with the yahoos.

  8. If i was them i would be furious, remember when the Tims wrecked their seating, also threw flares on their pitch? What happened to Shameless FC, nowt, nada, zip, bubkiss . Double standards at play here. Maybe now other clubs will listen to the conspiracy theorists.

    Good point.

  9. Next summer when we get hopefully promoted back to the top division how will we compete with the yahoos who may well have greater finances than we will have?

One way to do that is by securing loan signings EPL clubs and MW is well-connected with many EPL clubs. Or we could just settle for second or third best ?

In October of last year I watched our 2003's, with a couple of 2004's absolutely wipe the floor with their Dundee Utd counterparts. Scores were 8-0 in one game and on the other pitch it was 11-0. How do we ensure we are more successful ? By not going for big, strong, physical types like Sinclair liked.... And going for a footballing philosophy throughout the club and having players based on technical, tactical ability..... Much like Mulholland and Warburton like.

Btw, our 2003 kids last year played Celtic 4 times in the one day and beat them all 4 times.... Apparently this resulted in "crisis meetings" at Celtic......

They can win games in their own age group as often as they like.

It's whether they're capable of making it into the first team which is what matters.

Having youngsters on the books for seven or eight years then discovering they're not first team standard seems a waste to me

  11. All very well but unless this academy(or whatever it's called) can produce players capable of getting into the first team on a regular basis then the whole thing just becomes a financial drain on the club.

I wouldn't get too hung up on youth football as it's often difficult to assess how good a youngster actually is until he moves out of his age group.

And also how do we ensure our greater-funded youth system is better than say the likes of hertz or dundee utd whose will probably have less funding than ours?

  12. Allen stating to Rotherham that he wanted to stay in Scotland will be a blow to Hibs. They would have been hoping to sell him to an English team.

If hibz hadn't realised that Allan would rule out going to Rotherham they must be really stupid indeed.

  13. Looks like the player is coming to us sooner or later. Don't up the offer, sign him in January. Why give money to a club that hates us?

    Hibz have a choice:-

    1) keep an unhappy player and lose him at the end of the season for nothing or a pittance in january

    2) sell him now and use whatever money they get to strengthen their squad

Incredibly Stubbs seems determined to keep Allan as per 1) which suits us fine IMO. I think he'll find the player's heart is no longer in it and his form will suffer.Allan was easily their best player last season and if he's less effective this season then that can only help us in the league.

Somehow though I think he'll be a Rangers player by the end of month even if it goes right down to the last few seconds of the transfer window like what happened with Steven Naismith.

  14. Celtc want 11 for van dyke a guy destroyed in Europe regularly. Why would we sell in a year for 4.

What they say they get for their players and what they actually get are completely different.

They often seem to include sell-on fees & signing-on fees in their inflated figures just to keep the guillible green'n' grey hordes happy

  15. I agree to an extent. However an element of our own support are actively trying to harm our club and its support too and ultimately if no one had been arrested that report couldn't have been written. Mclaughlin can't choose that angle for his story if 'we' don't create the opportunity for him. I think it's fair to say McLaughlin will write about 'sectarian arrests' if they happen at our game, that's part of his bias and world outlook. Others at the BBC won't, that's where the balance comes in. In the end though 'we' keep giving people like McLaughlin the opportunity to write his rubbish, our anger should be directed at least equally in the direction of those among us who keep letting us down.

Will McLaughlin report the arrests at every game he attends this season or just Rangers ones? I think this is where the problem lies

  16. Apologies for introducing a lighthearted observation into a serious issue. At the game yesterday I spotted a very young boy who seemed so pleased to be given the chance to watch Rangers. His dad had kitted his son out in a Rangers shirt and both father and son appeared quite proud. The wee fellow turned around and printed on the back of his shirt was the name SPIERS. Perhaps, it would have been more suitable for the lad's Christian name to be used. Anyway, I hope that the presence of this SPIERS at Ibrox will be seen for many years.

As long as the young lad wasn't wearing a pair of 1970's corduroys he should be OK.
