Absolutely, we can only hope his op is a success, no doubt he is the best striker we have, when fit??
The absence of both Roofe & Tom Lawrence was massive last season

Is this with immediate effect?
or at the end of the forthcoming season?

I don’t really have a problem with Wright, but he is supposed to be on the way out so why give him minutes.
Because we lack width up front
These past 2 seasons we’ve watched skippy win 2 league titles with them using one through the middle mostly and wide men chipping in with assists & goals.
We don’t have that.

Not too impressed by the new guys tbh. We were a much better team when Hagi & Raskin were brought on. Yfeco & Lowry looked good. Why o why bring on Wright ?
I don’t get the problem some have with Wright. Until we get someone better he’s all we’ve got to play wide areas up front. Matondo doesn’t give us anything

I also don’t think we’ve a big enough squad to make the number of substitutions we made.
When Tav went off we didn’t have a RB to bring on.And we still don’t have any real width up front from the players we saw tonight

Not too sure we learned too much from that tonight. Main worry is we didn’t seem to play with a recognised number 9 up front. Hopefully dessers will be available soon

Looking forward to seeing our new players. Sima especially 🤠

Since we returned to the top flight in 2016 we’ve won just one title & one SC
That needs to change.
since MB took over at the end of last year he’s realised that many of the playing squad he inherited won’t improve on our record since 2016.
Hence the ongoing necessary changes to the playing squad to improve our poor current domestic record

Does this role still exist or has VAR made it redundant?

However Colak has now gone & we move on.
We have to hope Dessers (& maybe Danilo if we get him) can get the goals up front we didn’t always get last season.
I do think we will need another GK if( as now seems likely) McCrorie leaves and we still need another CB which could be Panzo if we can do a deal with Nottingham Forest if they’re wanting Barasic
I think we’re far from finished in this transfer window

I must admit I couldn’t see what Souness returning to Rangers would achieve other than headline grabbing

Maybe they’re trying to build bridges with Rangers. They might need to as the Class Action in October approaches

He's a man who knows how to get the ball into the back of the net. I'm actually disappointed to see him go.
So am I

Resignations surely at the SPFL. Doncaster for starters

Sakala has only got a year left on his contract IIRC. If MB isn’t going to extend his contract now is the ideal time to move him one& get a fee for him

I certainly hope so.
We’ve currently only got Goldson(injured), Souttar(fit but not always available), Davies(supposedly leaving) King(injured but was expected to go out on loan ) and now the return of 35 year old Balogen
Don’t know about you but that situation doesn’t give me a lot of confidence

Apparently Sterling said last week that he plays at right back or left back but doesn't play centre back.
That now means the only CB we’ve brought in so far is Balogen who has effectively replaced Helander.
Id have thought CB (& GK)would have been top priorities

Daniel Prodan springs to mind, was that £4m
A gamble which never paid off. Prodan was one of the best CB’s in the world just before he got injured & we signed him. Had he got fully fit & back to his best I’ve often wondered how O’Neil’s Celtic with Larson, Sutton& Hartson would have got on against him. He would have made a big difference to us I’m sure & they’d never have done as well as they did early 2000’s

CB is already a worry in terms of personnel numbers & we’re still over 3 weeks from our first league game

We’ve certainly been quick off the mark getting new faces in have we not?
And it looks like we could be adding 2 or 3 more. I still think we’d like to move on at least 2 or 3 if that’s possible.
Still, it’s good to see positive action taken after what was a hugely disappointing season & the manager being backed to do the necessary rebuilding job without DoF interference

I have a sneaking feeling that Mason Mount might turn out to be United's Deli Ali .
The new Chelsea manager hasn’t even given Mason Mount a chance to prove himself. Maybe it’s Chelsea moving out whoever they can so as they can bring in much needed CB’s and a GK too.

He won’t be going anywhere anytime soon if he’s on £30k per week at Rangers

Why would Cantwell do that when Tavernier takes them all ?
In case we’re involved in a penalty shootout

When this spat was first aired, I remember Michael Stewart utilising BBC Scotland to put the Doncaster - MacLennan case. He ended the piece by saying, "Neil Doncaster and Murdoch MacLennan, these are the good guys".
He should be reminded.
Michael is a useful idiot to whoever requires his services.
Perhaps the SFA have now looked at the SPFL/SPL’s track record & handed the gun to Rangers.

A win which should have been by a much greater margin. Reminders of last season
