  1. I disagree with the feeling that this will show us where we are against teams from the top league. As the old cliche says, cup games are a one off and anything can happen - the 1-3 against St Johnstone doesn't prove we're that much worse than them, and a 3-1 win over Killie wouldn't prove we're that much better than them.

We'll only know once we're promoted and playing week in, week out. Stating the obvious I guess but there you are.

Before Ally McCoist resigned last season we beat St Johnstone, ICT & KIllie in the cups. Didn't count for much did it?

You're spot on we won't know until we're back in the top division

  2. Going back to the OP what we saw at Stranraer today was which club in Scotland has the biggest problem with its support.

No wonder Liewell was against UEFA's Strict Liability being introduced a couple of years ago. The yahoos would end up fighting relegation every season with the number of league points they'd get docked & chucked out the domestic cups too probably !!!

So we shouldn't have too big a problem with whatever TBB words were sung at the Hibz game then?

  3. And the authorities will continue to fine us. Just cut out the add ons and going on about what other teams sing cos it's us that's going to get done all the time, doesn't anyone else notice this?

So is it fair we get into trouble whilst other clubs supporters similar actions get overlooked?

Is that what this country has become 2016?

When our new board got in last year I wanted a strong CEO/MD appointed who would confront the Scottish football authorities and the Holyrood buffoons on these sort of issues whereby we get singled out & others don't. That didn't happen hence those with their anti-Rangers agenda are still up to their old tricks

  4. Its about time someone asked where has all the money come from to pay for this tarting up of their monkey house or was it a freebie from the council

Is it not well known that vast sums of public money was spent in and around the San Giro as it was used for the 2014 CG opening ceremony. Why it was ever used for the opening ceremony is another question as it is normal to have the Athletics arena as the venue for the opening ceremony.

  5. Got to say I'm in entire agreement with this. Falkirk are having another excellent season with a fraction of the resources Hibs or ourselves have. Also, when you see the shambles Dundee Utd have become you realise just how good a job Houston was doing there. He clearly knows how to develop young players.

if Houston had become Rangers manager in summer 2012 we'd be playing in the Premiership this season

  6. This is ignoring the generation of people, not just footballers, but people in general that we are raising - instant gratification is prevalent from what I see of this generation. So the chance of European football "in 3 years time" just wont cut it for many, especially a career in which 3 years is about 20-25% of the total.

You do realise if we win the SC this season we go into the EL qualifiers next season?
