  1. Sectarianism is an industry in Scotland which now employs otherwise unemployable people in mostly in politics & the mhedia.

The slightest little incident gets blown out of proportion so as to justify the existence of these cretins most of whom have a clear anti-Rangers agenda and deliberately overlook the antics of other clubs some of which have much bigger problems than Rangers i.e. the yahoos.

Until we challenge these individuals it will continue & the club must do more likewise.

  2. Keevins was hinting Wright would walk if O'Haleran wasn't in his team this Saturday. maybe there will be a deal after this game. Richard Wilson reckoned both clubs evaluation of the player was the same and the hold up was "details" to be agreed.

    Usual nonsense from Keevins.

O'Halloran is not staying with St Johnstone because a fee is involved & St Johnstone have to accept that fee regardless if it is from us or someone else.

It was the same with Allan at hibz when a fee was involved he was going and hibz made sure he wasn't going to us. Their pals duly helped them out although the player(not being the brightest I wouldnt think) must wonder if he made a wise move.

The days when clubs like St Johnstone & hibz could turn down six figure bids for their players are well in the past

  3. Could it be that St Johnstone sell players normally with payment instalments ? Could that be why we are being treated differently ? I don't know, genuine question.

Allan's situation is a red herring IMHO. Hibs were never selling him to us. I don't think it is a comparable situation.

Allan's situation was identical. He had to go only hibz didn't want to sell to us. They were rescued when their chums bought him from them despite accepting a fee far less than what Stubz said he was worth.

Had they not done so they'd have had to negotiate with us no matter how much they didn't want to as a fee was involved which they wouldn't be able to turn down.

@NewcoTed: The O'Halloran standoff is now a point of principle for the Rangers board. Why should Rangers be treated differently from any other club?

How are we being treated differently ?

Our board aren't stupid. They know St Johnstone are unable to turn down a fee for a players who's got just 18months left on his contract & won't sign a new one.

What St Johnstone are trying to do is entice other bidders to get more money i.e. start an auction. It doesn't look like there are any other bidders though.

It's not unlike the Scott Allan stuff at the start of the season. He had to go & Hibz eventually got £250k after Stubz told everyone Allan was a £1m player.

  5. I'm personally not going to worry about another teams strengths or weaknesses..l unless we are playing them.

Hibs can only take a further 3 points off us this season and if we win our game in hand tomorrow then Hibs are already needing favors from others to overtake us.

Why can't we look at the results that WE are putting up ? We are scoring over 3 goals a game and despite a "blip" are still top by 2 points with a game in hand.

Has the last 3 years had us continually expecting the worst ?

I'm fully expecting us to win this league, January strengthening or not.

Admire your confidence but I'd expect that MW & SDoW would want to strengthen.

Don't forget we lost away to both Hibz & Falkirk. That concerned me.

There are still too many games still to play before we can be as confident as you seem to be

  6. Hibs may have strengthened, but we haven't weakened. If we keep doing our thing & winning......whatever hibs do is irrelevant. Odds are that hibs will drop more points than we will - even with their strengthening.

What worries me is Hibz are better up front than we are. Miller is past his best & Clark isn't good enough. That places an over reliance on Waghorn and what would happen if he got injured?

  7. One thing that does concern me about O'Halloran - all the talk seems to be about his 'blistering pace'. When will he get to use that with us? 90% of the time we are up against a defensive wall with no room in behind. Has he got more than that in his locker?

I think O'Halloran may be signed more with next season in mind when we're hopefully in the Premiership

  8. On the face of it an amalgamation is a good idea but quite frankly I couldn't care less what it gets called.

It's what it does and how effective it is are the criteria it should be judged on.

It must not be too close to the board & be prepared to ask pertinent questions for starters like how we're going to fund playing squad improvements for our return to the top flight next season. And it should be prepared to challenge the pondlife in the mhedia and their biased reporting. It should also question the SFA & SPFL and the Rangers-hating individuals who inhabit these organisations.

There are lots of benefits from this if we can use this amalgamation to speak as one voice effectively
