  1. It's even simpler and more direct than that.

The City of London Police raided Ibrox on 17/7/07 a matter of days after Reid resigned as Home Secretary. That raid was a result of Lord Stevens report into football corruption, the three clubs raided were Rangers, Newcastle and Portsmouth all clubs that had a close relationship with the agent Willie McKay. Stevens received "a degree of cooperation " from McKay (probably including the words 'side' and 'letter'). Reid was Home Secretary during the time of the Stevens inquiry and report. It is inconceivable that as Home Secretary he was not kept fully informed every step of the way in what was a matter of great importance in the sports world both nationally and wider afield. Weeks after the raid Reid was put forward as the new Celtic Chairman. Is it any wonder he was confident enough to declare that they'd "keep Rangers nailed to the floor."

Spiers found Reid to be "an intriguing and engaging Celtic Chairman" no great surprise considering they shared the same goal.

You have to wonder whatever else Reid got up to as Celtc chairman. For example wining & dining the now discredited Platini at the San Giro what got discussed there do you think?

  2. they want to stop wasting tax payers money and do some actual work.

Football fans are an easy target for them. And it pleases their political masters in Holyrood especially if it's big bad Rangers.

FWIW significantly more people get arrested at T in the Park than any football match. Will Plod Scotland be using North Korean style surveillance there ??

  3. its a door that I wish was never opened. I have absolutely no idea what walter smith seen in him.

He struggled for long periods and was never really a goal scorer IMO.

It would all come down to how highly DW rates him ( as he'll know more about him than MW) but he'd have no chance of getting the wages he was previously on at Rangers.

  4. Andy Halliday for me.

Has played admirably well in a position which he isn't really accustomed to. When Matt Crooks arrives in the summer I suspect he'll take over in defensive MF & Halliday will play further forward where I think he'd prefer to play.

  5. " One thing's for sure though - he won't be using Dundee Utd as a feeder club wasting millions in the process. " It shows how far their downsizing has gone - buying up rivals players to win the Scottish league - and in a one horse race too.

Is it a one horse race anymore though? That's how bad they've got.

  6. What Hartson cannot see is that his 'old club' have been downsizing & cutting their budgets over these past four years and their team on the park has been getting worse as a result.

Losing home & away to the mighty FK Molde should have been the wake up call but apparently not for this clown.

The Deila appointment was based on us getting the likes of McCall of McInnes but MW has totally changed the landscape. Hartson & his chums simply don't know what his moves will be regards next season. One thing's for sure though - he won't be using Dundee Utd as a feeder club wasting millions in the process.

I smell your fear John. I really do. Even if your 'old club' do win the SC semi it won't matter much for next season I can assure you as our manager will have it all meticulously planned out in advance. Unlike Delia

  7. We don't need to worry about Lee playing for Scotland any time soon!

“We are actually well off for left-sided defenders. It’s not bad, if you look at it. With Lee Wallace, he would be getting a game if it wasn’t for Andrew Robertson and Kieran Tierney. Lee is a good player but I have to look at these two for the future.

The future? What's Mulgrew doing in the squad then? Plus he's hardly played all season.

I wouldn't worry too much about Wee Chesney though. He'll be gone in about a year's time when Scotland fail to qualify yet again. It's overlooked we were fourth in our Euro2016 qualifying group - yes fourth !
