  1. Oldco is in liquidation.

OK, there's a difference between being in liquidation with a commencement of winding up and actually having been liquidated but it's not something I'd expect the man in the street or your average sports journalist to be aware of.

Perfectly easy for any semi-intelligent person understand IMO.

Unless you're a yahoo pseudo-journo with an agenda...............

  2. Frankie,

I am basing my comments in the aftermath of last year's League Cup semi-final.

Remember, the Green Brigade had quite an elaborate display? The coffin banner, the four horsemen, Rangers date of founding, culminating in 'Huns RIP'. At half time, they lit 30 green flares and unveiled another banner depicting, 'the monkeys are deid' and, 'Huns RIP'. We were told then about the need for both Fire Officer and Match Commander rep' to okay banners before display. It came out this had occurred the night before, a couple of dozen members of the GB had been allowed into Hampden the evening before, to prepare both displays.

There was an attempt to do Rangers for the supports songs last year, it fizzled out quickly because of the GB's time to prepare revelations. The Lord Advocate let it be known, one of the sources was Cosgrove on BBC Scotland, that he was NOT interested in pursuing anyone on the useage of the H term. Further, last week, Cosgrove was banging on about missing something because he was working for the Scottish Government. He stated he was attending an all day seminar at Hampden on Hate Crime. Combine this with the lunches he has had with the Lord Advocate, and I suspect our club and support have trouble brewing.

This is why I wanted a high profile CEO who would go after these people & organisations as and when required. Nothing against Stewart Robertson but that doesn't seem to be his style.

We need to remember that our enemies who wanted us out of business altogether in 2012 are still out there doing whatever they can to undermine Rangers and its support. We must all remain vigilant

  3. As I understand it, a banner must be presented to both the Fire Officer and Match Commander(or their respective reps') before being allowed access to the ground.

What do the Lord Advocate and Justice Minister say reference that banner?

    Nothing. They're both yahoos.

Welcome to Scotland 2016 where minorities must not be offended but they can do as they please

  4. Also worth noting the lack of any mention in the mhedia. Imagine the outcry if we'd had a banner in our crowd (however small) with the word f***** included. We'd (rightly) have been lambasted and calls for action against those fans. Their banner filled half the stand and was clearly intended to be provocative, yet we've heard nothing!

It's BIGOTRY or BANTER depending on which school you went to. Welcome to SCOTLAND 2016

  5. Speaking of Hibs are the dates on the Scotprem website right enough?

    http://spfl.co.uk/key-dates/

    19 Premiership play-off final, 1st leg

    21 Scottish Cup Final

    21 FA Cup Final

    22 Premiership play-off final, 2nd leg

will Hibs be forced like we were to complete their league season with only 48 hours as we were forced to?

all in the interests of sporting integrity you understand

    Sporting integrity is paramount.

Can these dates be altered in any way if the play-offs are being televised?

  6. Today was the greatest spectacle watched by Rangers' fans in four years,

Today I think everyone of us saw the light of what has been a very long dark tunnel.

Just goes to show how quickly things can turn around at a football club.

I've always maintained appointing the manager is the biggest decision a football club's board of directors has to make. We have got it right. They haven't.

  7. english makes an interesting point , it may well come down to discipline on the day, they had terrible discipline at pittodrie also recently.

play the match , not the occasion may well play out here.

It's imperative Halliday doesn't take the bait from the odious Brown.

We need all eleven players on the park if we're to have any chance

  8. This game will be won in midfield and we are restricted in our options..

We need tackling and distribution. We are light in our options with Shiels, Law and Zalelem ruled out as starters as being too lightweight.

I would expect them to start Lustig and Kierney as full backs and Brown, Bitton and Commons in midfield. The full backs give them pace on the overlap and Brown and Bitton give them hard tackling and distribution in midfield. Commons provides the guile and the diving.

A lot of the time where we have conceded goals this season our full backs have been on the overlap and Kiernan and Wilson are pulled out of position to cover. We can't have that with Griffiths and Roberts around.

I would start Ball at right back, and keep him back with the CBs, with Tavernier in midfield. This alone would give us more solid tackling in midfield, and push going forward.

Clark with Tavernier on the right would keep Sviatchenko and Tierney honest while Miller, McKay and Wallace keep Boyata and Lustig occupied.

Halliday and Holt will have to cover a lot of ground before giving way to Shiels and Law. Waghorn (hopefully) on for the last bit for Miller.

I really think all we can do is flood the MF ,stop them playing and hope it frustrates them.

Really dont think we can rely on the likes of Clark at all for this fixture.

I think it is starting to hit home how much we need to improve this squad at the end of theseason
