  1. I remember I used to watch and hope the Scottish teams did well in Europe!,with the exception of the BHEASTS,but now I actually don't care!,the same for the Scotland international team.

I do, however, hope one day we can get back to supporting the Scottish National Team.

Sadly , at present, it is just a YES voters rally....

  2. This afternoon, whilst getting my SC finaltickets I got in the ballot, I couldn't help wondering if there are any plans to move away from this portacabin to something better.

The queue, as is the norm nowadays, was well outside the door. Today the weather was fine and no problem but that isn't always the case.

Does anyone else think we need something better? I'd guess Edmiston House is considered too expensive to refurbish but are there any better alternatives? Anyone know?

  3. If Dundee Hibz & Leith Hibz are both in the Championship next season who will Liewell loan players to ????

We'll probably loan out young Hardie out again next season to play against our haters. I like that.

  4. SNP have 63, so Cons 31 Lab 24 Green 6 LD 5 which is 66, all other parties except SNP were against the OBFA so if there was a motion to the repeal it it should be passed by 3 votes?? Fingers crossed???

The SNP will try to get support from the Greens if they want to keep the OBFA. The Greens will support the SNP in exchange for the SNP introducing their policies. That's how politics works in minority governments

  5. Just watch 'league reconstruction' back on the agenda next season as their chums in the Premiership (Liewell & milne to name two) propose a 16club top division the season after next to help them back up.

It must be resisted at all costs

  6. Nothing like this really surprises me anymore. This is the work of Scotland's social underclass who see us as fair game.

They are well supported within Scotland's political classes and throughout its mhedia too. Our new board have done a fine job since their election last year but unless we get big hitters prepared to go after these people and their sympathisers it will continue.

  7. Halliday for me.

At the start of the season a team was literally thrown together. We were & still are lacking in certain positions inc. defensive MF. To his great credit Halliday has mostly played that role which isn't his best position by a long shot. By doing so he did it for the team & deserves much praise for that IMO for the contribution he has made

  8. In all seriousness last night they reaped what they'd sown back in 2012. So have Hibz. St Mirren too.

When they all took the Celt@c shilling back then & threw Rangers out the SPL in the name of sporting integrity what they didn't tell their supporters was that budgets were subsequently cut. The result was that the difference between the budgets of bigger clubs such as Dundee Utd & hibz and budgets of smaller clubs became mostly insignificant. And it started to show on the park.

In the case of Dundee Utd it cost them their successful manager Peter Houston who left following having had his budget cut by something like half a million quid. They continued selling players to make ends meet(mostly to the yahoos) until the quality in their squad became so poor it didn't matter who the manager was. They were only going in one direction and that was down.

If both Dundee Utd & Hibz supporters have any sense they'll do their utmost to get rid off Thompson & Petrie for the sake of their clubs and Scottish football in general. And replace them with individuals with their own clubs interest as priority and not being one of Liewell's nodding dogs

  9. A guy I knew who was involved in dealing with kids at youth level told me that just about every single boy taken on by a club does possess the ability to become a footballer. He said what lets the majority of them down is that they show no improvement in understanding/learning/listening to what the coaches are trying to teach them and continue to make the same mistakes they were making the day they arrived.

At around 17/18 the vast majority of youngsters stop progressing for a variety of reasons most of which coaches can do little about

  10. Rangers FC: Former defender Madjid Bougherra issues come and get me please

THE former Ibrox defender has issued a second plea to Rangers in a matter of weeks and would love a return to Glasgow.

MADJID BOUGHERRA has again pleaded with Rangers boss Mark Warburton to take him back to Ibrox – but set him a six-week deadline.

The Algeria defender helped the Light Blues win five major trophies in three seasons before joining Qatari club Lekhwiya in 2011.

The 33-year-old is nearing the end of his contract with UAE outfit Al Fujairah and hopes to rejoin Rangers.

However, the France-born centre back has offers from the Far East, and wants to make a decision by mid-June.

Bougherra said: “Rangers are a club I love as I had some great times with them.

“I want to rejoin them as they are back in the top flight. I’ve kept in touch with the likes of assistant manager Davie Weir who played in the same team as me.

“There has not been any official contact but if Rangers make an approach for me I won’t say no.”

    No thanks!

    At 33 too old now

  11. Good article and agree with the majority. On MOH i personally don't think he has settled and I know I'm not going the only one who is of the opinion, that he dosnt feel quite at home at our club, for want of a better phrase. His heart dosnt seem to be there, and over time I may be proven wrong, however one thing that I do have knowledge off is body language, and it's all wrong. There could be a number of reasons for that, and hopefully he will be a different player next season. Time will tell??.

I think MOH's problem was that we couldn't utilise his pace against teams who 'parked the bus' last season.

Hopefully next season will be different. I'm sure it will.

  12. I think I've outlined perfectly valid reasons for us to be playing youngsters. Perhaps you might want to look at how big clubs across Europe play fixtures like this when there's nothing to play for. If we don't play youngsters now we never will.

That's 4 games we've played since the Celtic match and we haven't picked up a single victory. What we're doing now isn't working and we're gaining nothing from playing a full strength side and risking injury.

The other issue is, given we've a small squad, we could have got key players injured in these four meaningless games.
