  1. Compare and contrast.

Maurice Johnston signs for Rangers and has to live in Edinburgh with a full time 24 hour security detail in tow. The rest of his life so far, is spent in the USA.

Rou Greenslade spends a ten year period as News Editor of the Sunday Times, whilst penning a weekly column in the IRA's in house publication, 'An Phobach'. His nom de guerre, 'George King' was responsible for supporting terrorists in bombing and shooting innocent people. Currently, Roy Greenslade lives in London(and his coastal cottage in Donegal), is the City of London's Professor of Journalism and has a couple of gigs at the Guardian. He sits on a number of Boards and quangos. Further, a big big pal of Cosgrove and Eamon O'Neill.

Now, where does tolerance and intolerance begin and end?

We have no one but ourselves to blame for continuously tolerating this sort of thing

  2. Strange poster considering Hibernian FC have never won the Scottish cup, they are the new club not Rangers, they were out of Scottish football for a year after Hibernians won the Scottish cup!,Rangers have never been out of Scottish football.

Far too much information in that statement for ur average yahoo to digest.....:D

  3. Gunslinger:

I think Ashley used to own shares in Adidas (he bought a 3% stake in 2007) but not sure about Puma. He's certainly not listed as a major shareholder but Puma are a strategic partner of Sports Direct.

    this is an interesting point.

No idea if he has adidas shares but thought he had a much bigger stake in puma. 20%?

Was it coincidence Newcastle changed from adidas to puma when he bought them? And Rangers going to puma too?

  4. Well we need to get a new squad together for the next campaign. You can't just put a team together out of nothing, especially a world cup team. Wallace and Barrie could be first picks.

I doubt very much if Wallace & McKay will be first picks when the WC qualifiers begin.

Strachan has shown himself to have favourites in his squads who seem to get selected every time regardless

    What a climbdown if true.

Will our esteemed politicians from the shortbread senate admit they got it wrong

It should not be forgotten that this legislation was brought in by the then lhabour administration to catch Rangers supporters but ended up snaring yahoos who were by far the worst offenders

  6. Liewell must be getting irritable now with us signing Rossiter & maybe now Barton. Their bloated squad needs culled and that will require funds which will need to be taken from the new manager's budget

He'll be glad to say adios to Ronny tomorrow & try to appoint someone to keep the green'n'grey hordes happy. A big name with a proven track record wont be easy & he knows it

The sensible ones will stay well clear. Moyes, Rogers & others won't touch it with a bargepole & Liewell knows it. He was cutting budgets two years ago & Keane dropped his interest. Others know this only too well. A defeat in the CL qualifiers and a hiding from the Warburton Rangers would mean the new guy in trouble early doors.

Who will we sign next ?

  7. It was really unbelievable if Stubz thought that.

He should have taken a leaf out of MW's book whose no1 priority all along this season was promotion and anything in the cups was just a bonus.

Even if hibz did(god forbid) beat us in the SC final what would it do for them ? They're still not in the top division & I'd suggest about to lose some of their better players to make ends meet

  8. Remember Rab we will be losing around 6 or 7

    Fully realise that bud.

AFAIK we've got Law,Shiels,Templeton & Clark out of contract. I wouldnt expect any of them to get new deals.

We've also got Cammy Bell entering the last year of his McCoist deal. Rumour has it Hibz want him. To get him they'd need to deal with us & ( if rumours are true) we'd to do some sort of swap deal for Cummings.

I think we'd still need another striker and CB and cover for the FB positions

  9. I think Barton would be a decent signing. We need to remember we're still a relatively young side & he is an experienced player who plays in a position ( defensive MF) where we need to improve next season despite Halliday doing a fine job filling in there this season.

I'm also a great believer you cant always sign players for the future. You need to sign players for the present as Kevin Keegan said talking about Newcastle the other day. Barton certainly would be for the present and could do a job over the next couple of seasons as we consolidate back in the top division.

  10. Definitely mate. Only McGinn causes me the slightest bit of worry for next week. Even then I think he'll be in Halliday's pocket

My big worry next week is Stokes deliberately sets out to injure one of our players. He has nothing to lose. The yahoos dont want him & he's done nothing of note at hibz

Who can forget that assault on Sasa Papac at the San Giro a few years ago & weary Willie Collum only gave a yellow for which should have seen Stokes banned for several games.

That's what he's capable of unfortunately.
