I didn't say they were.  My comments are generalising a bit, looking at the bigger picture.  There are exceptions to every rule etc.

when I listen to PC I think he’s of the opinion we should avoid the Lawrence/dowell/ Lundstrum type signings.
Bosmans in their mid to late 20’s. Often there’s a reason( or reasons) why they’re bosmans

Of course not.  I'd imagine most footballers will want to start matches though, so a club can be persuasive rather than forceful.

I said a couple of months ago we'll be paying for Beale for a good couple of years.

Still paying Beale’s wages for a couple of years?

I thought if we sacked a manager with under one years service he got no compensation . Same with GvB.

Lewis Ferguson was of course at Rangers as a youth but he's the perfect example of a player who needed time to develop then patience to play. Ironically he only made it into the Hamilton side because we signed Greg Docherty.

It's not hindsight to say Ferguson would have done well had he signed for us when he left Aberdeen. He scored 16 goals in his final season for Aberdeen, I don't think we've had a midfielder with those kind of numbers since Albertz!
For all my doom and gloom about youth the club are actively signing 20 year olds and surprised me by giving Robbie Fraser a 2 year deal, I was certain he'd be playing for Raith Rovers or Hamilton, someone like that, in the coming season. That suggests a change of strategy by the club, perhaps we will see a very young Rangers side this season. How the support will react to that will be interesting.

How many first team games will Robbie Fraser play next season do you think?

    Bang on.

    The random computer is consistent.

Off the top my head, the last time it wasn't was when we won the title.

    Random computer ? 😛
or a yahoo with a laptop?
aided by new referee supremo collum who’ll ensure we get Clancy, Robertson or Walsh for our big games

Lads like Munn, Gentles and Nsio should be earmarked for the first team imo.

In any other league in Europe that has a youth cup for their respective association, the winners will have players bled into the first team.

Mainoo and Garnacho as a recent example.

    Rangers should do the same.

They’ll only be ‘earmarked for the first team’ if they’re good enough

Budinauckas(22) was on loan at Stranraer last season, played lots of games. Jay Hogarth(20) is a good prospect and played the second half of the season at Dumbarton then Mason Munn (18) is also highly rated, turned down Arsenal last year (I believe).

Decent pipeline of keepers in the Academy.

Means nothing as to whether theyd be good enough for Rangers first team. Look at McCrorie - was expected to be a shoe in to be Rangers no1. He’s now 27 and still not made it & probably never will

Everyone on the wireless is saying Clarke’s time is up but who in their right mind would want the job all you’ve got to pick from is a bunch of dumplings.

Clarke signed a contract extension until 2026 so don’t see him going anywhere anytime soon

  8. And the future for the Scotland national team doesn’t look great either. Most of the current team are 30 ish or older and there’s not any good young players coming through with the exception of maybe Gilmour. Up front is a real worry. When did Scotland last have a top drawer striker/ CF ?

Doesn't give one much confidence in what the board say in the statement. Rumours circulating that September is an optimistic shout for getting back to Ibrox. Who knows !!

A poor financial situation just got worse.

CL qualifying: Will make a difficult task a lot harder.

Clubs looking to buy our players will know we are desperate.

    Omnishambles indeed.

You do realise we’ve got at least a couple of billionaires either on the board or major shareholder?
