My only gripe with this board is that they knew Warburton was going and had no plan whatsoever to replace him.
Murty should be nowhere near the Rangers dug out. He's a youth coach who's a million miles out his depth

do you want the same donkey's appointing the next manager?
I suppose the D of F will do that. No idea when.

do you know which board members allowed warburton to sign barton?
Barton's gone. Forget it.

We are still a Championship side. Except now we have the heart of a mouse.
With the exception of Miller and Foderingham, this entire Rangers squad should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
Kenny Miller? LOL are you havin' a laugh ?
He was absolute garbage again tonight yet still gets a game every week. Just 6 league goals this season and still gets picked every week.
Why does he get a game every week ? Because we have a numpty in the dug out who should be nowhere near the Rangers job. I genuinely believe he doesn't want Rangers to win given his background

Dodo must be sitting on the bench wondering what he has to do to get a game.
We've been struggling to score goals all season(Miller is top scorer with 6 league goals) yet he still gets overlooked. Both Miller and Waghorn constantly lose possession under no pressure. It is totally frustrating to watch

This isn't the same old at all. They are playing decent stuff here but that was another mistake by Tav, although it was a very well placed shot. I don't think they should be too worried. We will score here, and I fancy us to go on and win.
What game are you watching ???

Started well. Now a total embarrassment

Get Miller off now.

Unless it's seen as a debt in which case it would be paid back from their estate, no?
but the date the debt would be due to be paid would be long after the trustees death
0 -
in theory they were loans which didn't need to be repaid for 100 years or whatever but obviously the 'trustee' would be dead by then & loan never repaid

Looking increasingly likely the EL spots will be 2,3 &4 in the league....unless Hibz retain the Sc

Hodson does absolutely nothing for me, I think he is a very poor player. Tavernier is no center-mid he ball watches far too often. and I agree with UIlleam below he is tactically un-suitable.
Hodson is no better than Ricky Foster but best we've got just now. I still think Tav is best option in Def MF. Halliday has been found out this season in that role unfortunately

A decent tactician can't work with no defensive midfield players and a defence that seem to go missing more than not.
put Tavernier def MF & Hodson RB

Poisoned chalice and sacrificial lamb come to mind here.
As well as someone who should be nowhere near the position of Rangers manager

That's on the cards no matter who is in charge!
Not necessarily. A decent tactician would get a result against he yahoos.

So basically you don't know what it is but you don't like it anyway?
As I said depends what the remit is.
My biggest concern is the D of F interfering in first team affairs. Head Coach/manager must always have the final say IMO.
And do we really have hundreds of thousands of spare cash for a D of F ?

This may make him higher than a coach.
Reports to club Directors
Accountable to club Directors
And head coach is accountable to D of F.

Bayern Munich
Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona
Real Madrid
Ajax
Chelsea
Porto
Spurs
AC Milan
Manchester City
Juventus etc....etc....etc...
The titles may differ slightly, Director of Football, Technical Director, Sporting Director etc but for all intents and purposes they're the same thing.
You omitted to tell us which "managers" we'll miss out on because they refuse to work with a Director of Football
Pray tell just who are they?
I suppose much depends on who the D of F ( or technical director) is & what his remit is. I have grave concerns about him becoming too involved in first team affairs.
I also notice few of them seem to last long in their position from the ones I've looked at

Never heard of Ross Wilson. Hopefully won't be joining us after reading that

Terrible news. We will get an absolute pasting if Murty is in charge.

I think you have the wrong idea of a DOF. The head coach has the final word on all players that come into the club and all decisions over the first team selection. A DOF is there to take the tedious work away from the coach so there is no reason for a manager not to want one.
I would think it varies from club to club as to whether the head coach has final say about players coming in & would also try to get involved in team affairs which is why I don't want one at Rangers
I also don't think a D of F is necessarily just there to take tedious work away. He will try to take credit when things go well & blame the manager when things don't go well.

How can they be poorer than a guy who doesn't meet the job spec? It's a different role - more a coach than a Mister.
A Mister ?
There will be candidates simply not intersted in working under a D of F.
When the team struggles who's to blame ? The head coach(manager) will blame the D of F for poor signings. The D of F will blame the head coach(manager) for team selection, tactics etc, etc Who is responsible ?
Genuinely hope we don't go down the route of D of F.

Makes the process of recruitment easier, if potential candidates rule themselves out at pre-selection.
And you end up with poorer quality candidates ? The better candidates might not want to work under a D of F

Like who?
Practically every team in Europe worth its' salt does so and every top manager/head coach does so too.
Oh ? Which ones ?

Stability ? They need leadership. They're not getting it from the manager.
And on the park Wallace is no leader. He wears the captain's armband only. Hill is the only leader we've got & he's 38.
