I’m not saying they are. But it would be easy to go hiding and just collect the wages. I recognise they at least have some motivation to try and turn it around.
Anyone can have motivation. Ability & the correct attitude are more important

Fair play to him for playing, would be easy to just feign injury. Same with Lammers.
Dessers and Lammers are hopeless. They are nowhere near good enough to play for Rangers

How did Dessers managed to stay on for the whole game?

We are very fortunate it’s only 1-0.
The team’s confidence is shot to bits after Saturday. We lack creativity, constantly give the ball away needlessly & lack a credible threat up front
Worrying times lie ahead for whoever takes over

The reality is there is no queue of top drawer managers in Edmonton drive waiting to be interviewed for the job.
Whoever gets it has a very difficult task ahead of them with no money to spend & a squad with half a dozen poor signings in it from the summer who will need to be moved on

No.
I'd rather eat my own shite than have any of the two of them.
So who is your choice?

Another day and the disaster-in-making Frank Lampard is still bookies favourite. This is so depressing.
Why would he be a disaster?
dont you think if he got the right backroom/coaching staff he might do well like Souness & Gerrard?

People forget that if we wish to interview the likes of Muscat, Jansen & McInnes we’d need to ask their clubs first. As of yet I don’t think any of their clubs have indicated we’ve contacted them

SPFL resignations surely?
is it just me or does Doncaster keep a much lower profile these days? seldom in the media

TBH Philippe Clement would be the obvious choice based on his past managerial record if he is genuinely interested

Potter has a very good record outside of Chelsea, who are an absolute shitshow of a club.
He had 3 good years at Brighton but he’s not in the running for the Rangers job. He’d have to give up a lot of the compensation he got/is getting after getting sacked at Chelsea.
I just think a big name (with the right backroom staff) is what we need. Like we had with Gerrard and Souness

Have a look at both of their respective managerial careers and get back to us.
I have looked at both.

Astonishing how some folk want Potter who lasted weeks as Chelsea manager ahead of lampard.
when you look at lampards managerial record he got Derby to the EC play off final but lost to Villa.
He took the Chelsea job under an embargo and finished top4 but got binned the following season when they were ninth in the table.
His last job was the Everton job which no one could realistically do

Im not sure Lampard is being considered but wouldn’t totally dismiss the idea. We’ve had similar appointments before in Souness & Gerrard. Both were well respected as players with no management experience but brought assistants & back room staff with them. Both worked reasonably well I think
No idea who Lampard would bring with him but having someone with his background as a player in charge can attract players to the club we might not otherwise have got. His managerial record isn’t great but he’s not the only recent manager to fail at Chelsea & Everton is just a basketcase as Dyche is finding out

Whoever the new manager is to be it’s vital he gets the right backroom staff. I’d like to see some Scottish coaches included ( preferably with a Rangers background) such as Kenny Miller, Neil McCann, Jig etc. And let them deal with the mhedia when necessary

Why does Jansen strike fear into you?
Because he’s only been a manager for 3 years (since 2020 with AZ Alkmaar)
we need someone with much more experience

Davis and Rae strike fear into me - just can't see them doing anything to turn this around. I can see the logic of giving them a couple of games until the international break, but any longer would be a disaster in my opinion.
Thing is they’ve got 3 months in which we won’t play Celtic in the league and they’ve a chance to win a trophy in which Celtic are out of.

Given we've had Steve Davis photoshoot and official Rangers media interview with him, am I the only one worried he is going to be manager for more than "a couple of games"?
The job is his to lose. Seen this movie before with Murty

Beale was appointed because of his time spent at Rangers working for Gerrard. Too many of us thought his influence was much greater than it actually was.

How do you know we don’t have a permanent replacement lined up?
I don’t know for sure but if what I’ve been told is correct we’ve been talking to managers since the Celtic game. That suggests to me our esteemed board were planning to ditch MB & his coaching staff. So in over a month( since the Celtic game) they haven’t got anyone ( if the info I got is correct)

Thanks. We’ll need it

I am a Rangers ST holder & shareholder. I have little confidence in the Rangers board when making managerial appointments.
It seems, not for the first time, we’ve sacked a manager & not had a replacement lined up.

It's obviously an interim appointment.
Is it?

I guess they just need someone to pick a team and talk to the players over the next 2 fixtures. I don't think there is chance in he'll that Davis will get the job.
I think it may be more than 2 fixtures…
Just guesswork on my part 🤓

Whoever the new manager is needs to do something about Tavernier’s woeful free kicks & corners and crosses which don’t clear the first defender.
Do we actually practise setpieces? Could have fooled me
