I think, by letting this drag on since Pedro left, the board have made it impossible to appoint McInnes due to the growing interest from better calibre candidates

Going back to the OP, can I dare to suggest we've not missed McKay because Windass now seems to be settling in at long last.
0 -
When McKay wouldn't sign a new deal I think the plan was to replace him with Jamie Walker who scored a dozen or so goals in the premiership last season .
But we sold McKay too cheaply & hertz wanted too much for Walker

Wouldn't be in the slightest surprised if it's the Lisbon Liars stand because when we do the Bouncy in there it swings a good few inches.
That's the one I'm led to believe it is.. East Stand.

Then you dont know them.
Cambuslang was irrelevant. They'd never have raised the money to build a stadium regardless of where it was.
The only show in town was the bunnet to save them back then.He had to build a stadium to comply with the Taylor report.Money was tight so they ended up with the Jerry-built breeze block.
Very frugal but it now chickens may be coming home roost for them. You won't find me in that stadium any time soon.

Cause they owned land in cambuslang
I don't think that was the main reason.

You're right; there's some kind of windbracing tying the stand together, when its devoid of bodies.
The monitoring of movement is of a different stand.
The one with the old mineworkings below it?

Why did their old board back in the 90's state that CP couldn't be re-developed?
Maybe we're soon about to see why.

Investigations into Desmond's business and tax history are long overdue.

It would be interesting to know how much the Rangers board expect to make from merchandising since the renegotiation of the retail deal.

Read somewhere that Celtic were the only team in Britain not to have a poppy on the shirt. Not sure if that's accurate
Wouldn't surprise me. Watching MOTD JamesMacLean getting dogs abuse from Huddersfield supporters. GOOD.
Everyone now beginning to turn on these pondlife. Long May that continue

I can always remember back in 1991 whenSouness left for Liverpool, I was dead against Walter Smith taking over. I didn't think he had enough experience to be Rangers manager
I was wrong then. I wonder if we're seeing a similar situation with Murty here?
0 -
Yeah comfortably.
And do the Rangers board think it is a good idea to give Aberdeen compensation for McInnes which would effectively be a transfer kitty for whoever succeeded McInnes at Aberdeen?
0 -
Would McInnes be a better appointment than Graeme Murty?
That is a question the Rangers board must now ask themselves
0 -
The Rangers board need to be careful here when they eventually appoint someone if his initial record isn't as good as Murty's.
That's why I always think whenever a club sacks a manager they should have a replacement lined up.

Did Partick Thistle have poppies on their shirts today ?

Am I right to assume that losses would be nearly at the same level as last year, had it not been for the SD/Ashley 3m?
That's my understanding of these accounts.
But we need more revenue.

Not sure what the new retail agreement means but, yes, it should lead to greater revenue. As we're still dealing with SD I guess it will be just be net amounts and could well be under £2m. It will probably be well into next season before we have recovered enough to cover the £3m we paid to SD.
Ashley really got the best of that deal plus he even got C1872 to use the fans'cash to buy his shares.
Yes presume we will get a better strip deal. I know a sponsor of an English premiership team looked at us but decided it wasn't financially viable until we get back to the CL.
How about other revenue streams ?
Can't the car park get used for something ? Sits there between games for nothing.
How about all the pubs/clubs in and around Ibrox on matchdays? Can't the club acquire 2 or 3 which supporters would use knowing where the money was going?
We're not doing a very good job maximising revenue
0 -
That was to be expected, due to the move to the premier league. Given our early European exit, there won't be any big increases in turnover this year.
Staff costs went up by now than a third.
Won't the ending of the long-standing litigation with SD mean more revenue from merchandise in the next figures ?
There's an improved source of revenue surely
And is our strips deal with PUMA not up at the end of this season. Can a better deal be negotiated with PUMA or another kit manufacturer ? This could provide more revenue could it not ?
We need to explore every possible source of revenue

The most encouraging part of the these figures is turnover increasing by almost one third from £22.2m to £29.2m
The big challenge for this board will be to get a similar increase this time next year.

These figures show just how important european football is for us as a source of revenue

£6.7m loss not good news

Miller was a stalking horse who would drop out & allow GreenCo to move in. That was the plan
However it was the emergence of Kennedy which ruffled a few corrupt feathers. If everything had been above board he'd own Rangers today
0 -
Still no comment from anyone at Rangers about a player getting sent off twice this season and both decisions later rescinded on appeal ?
If this was the yahoos there would all sorts of demands for referees to be sacked and whatever else.
And the referees would probably be on strike again by now

I presume the £1.5m is in the contract he foolishly signed in the summer & includes his assistant and backroom staff whoever they might be
