Agree one or two players were disappointing today but I think you’re going OTT. Who have we got fit & not playing that are better than them? It will, in my opinion, take 2 or 3 transfer windows(under the same manager) until we will be serious title challengers. And there will be unsuccessful signings during this time. No doubt about that. Second half today I thought we were the better team but missed 2 or 3 good chances until they equalised. Until then McGregor had little to do in the second half

I thought Katic did well when he came on today. Handled the always-fouling Kamberi well. -
I think it was always going to be extremely difficult to win the title in SG’s first season given the mess he inherited. He’ll need 2 or 3 transfer windows to get us up to the level where we’re title challengers.

We need 2 or 3 additions next month whether loans or permanent signings. And they must be signings that can go straight into the starting XI & make a difference

EBTs worse than child rape: Alex Thomson (Channel 4)

EBT’s weren’t illegal. It was specifically stated in the summing up at the SC. No one was arrested over EBT’s. Child abuse however..... Over to you AlexThomson -

I wonder if today will mark a significant turning point in SG’s managerial reign here. Playing two up front made such a big difference to the way we played today. We certainly wouldn’t have won the way things were going until Lafferty came on. But will he now continue with two up front ? And, if so, what will the formation will be ? 4-4-2 ?3-5-2 ? I’m sure SG will look back at last season when firstly Pedro then Murty were in charge & both stuck rigidly to one up front. Both ultimately failed(although this not the only reason of course) and as a result got axed. My own view is with this squad we’re not quite good enough to play one up front especially when teams ‘park the bus’. Wedneday’s team selection will be interesting. -

SG now has to find a system to accommodate 2 up front. Both Pedro & Murty couldn’t manage it last season. It would probably mean a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. I’ve always favoured the 3-5-2 especially when we’re at home & the opposition park the bus. -

Hmmm..not sure I’d agree with you on that one Ian. He was understandably short of match practice & it showed at times. Hopefully theHibs game will help him get up to speed because I don’t think we’ll have Barasic available again til next month -
I thought Borna Barasic looked a real class act tonight. Little wonder there’s rumoured interest in him already

Whittaker is there for the taking. Need to get Grezda running at him more often

Reading some of SG ‘s comments after the game today I suspect he was highly unimpressed with Lafferty. Can’t say I blame him. He was truly awful today

To be honest none of us expected this Euro run. Whilst it’s disappointing to be out it was great to have the European nights back at Ibrox. Now we must focus on domestic matters & start winning more games. I expect we’ll see a bit of movement in & out in January so hopefully we’ll get stronger again and push for the title -

Middleton is struggling at the moment. Really surprised to see him last the 90 minutes -

We totally lack the killer touch in the final third at the moment. Losing out to a really poor side like Rapid Vienna is hard to take. We’re better than that -

Middleton, to me, is an out and out old-fashioned winger who beats the FB& delivers balls into the box for the striker(s). When all he’s got to aim for is Lafferty his task becomes difficult if not impossible. Not sure I’d play Middleton thro the middle as I don’t think he’d be as effective there. -

We did adjust on Wednesday against Aberdeen. At HT we brought on Lafferty so we had 2 strikers on for the2nd half against their 10 men. Unfortunately Morelos then got sent off. Today we didn’t have a second striker on the bench to bring on after Dundee went down to 10men. -

Fair point. On Wednesday against Aberdeen I thought SG spot on at HT when he brought on Lafferty as a second striker. Unfortunately Morelos got himself sent off & we were back to one striker. However today when Dundee went down to 10 men we didn’t have another striker to bring on -

I think SG is trying to give everyone game time but there’s only so much to gain from that I’d suggest -

I also don’t think we’re good enough to play with just one up front. Especially if it’s Lafferty up front. -

If Hardie starts scoring regularly for Livi he’ll get another chance at Rangers. I’m not sure Rudden &Dallas quite ready though -

Goldson & Katic started together at CB at the start of the season & did quite well together. But the constant changing hasn’t done us too many favours. -

Sorry totally disagree. McGregor has to stay on his line or come & collect at their goal today. Regards the CB’s there’s been too much chopping & changing since the start of the season. Who are the preferred pairing ? (Where was McAuley today BTW? Injured ?) And I’d don’t think Rudden quite ready for a run in the first team. He needs game time elsewhere at the moment which he’s getting at Falkirk & doing well by all accounts. McCrorie I agree should be given a chance defensive MF in place of Jack who does little more than play 10-20 yard sideways passes as far as I’m concerned. -

I don’t think McGregor is blameless at the Dundee goal. He either comes off his line & gathers the ball or leaves it to the CB’s & stays on his line. He did neither & was caught in no man’s land McGregor is one of the best shot-stoppers in the world but his weakness is coming off his line -

Lafferty wasn’t a prolific scorer first time at Rangers. Second time is becoming likewise.
