Can’t help thinking Ojo from Liverpool might be a better option for us than Kent

I was at that game too. We were in a CL group with Ajax, Auxerre & Grasshoppers IIRC.
Our only win was 2-1 against Grasshoppers. We lost every other game

Decent attacking LB.
We're short in that position--if we're not wanting Halliday to continue as back-up?
Olsson ? Hasn’t played this year AFAIK.
been injured since last year
No thanks...

What remains incredible about the Celtic Boys Club abuse scandal is that this story has been sitting there for years but no prominent journalists or media outlets seemed to want to investigate it fully.

Kelly nd McGinn we’re involved with Torbett in the Trophy Centre. Stein knew about Torbett and had him removed from Parkhead. Stein later resigns (2 years?) Torbett makes a comeback at parkhead. Torbett is charged, his lawyer was Jock Brown, later Brown joins Celtic board.
This from my memory, anyone confirm? Was Lord Reid on board at that time?
Not sure that’s quite correct.
Torbett initially got convicted in 1998 & was sentenced to two years. His lawyer was Jock Brown ? Not sure Brown’s a QC to represent him in the high court?
Reid arrived around 2008/2009. Don’t think his arrival anything to do with the abuse. He was to use his power & influence to go after us over EBT’s.Which he did.

Why have Celtic been investigating something for the last 2 years that has nothing to do with them ?
As someone on RM pointed out they couldn’t have been doing this without informing the stock exchange first as they’re a plc & this could affect share price

Another predictable appointment.

John Mason’s comments are absolutely disgraceful. If his party leader did her job properly instead of constantly pursuing indyref2 he’d have been sacked long ago not just for these comments but previous comments too.
No one is asking him to join him in a vendetta by one half of the old firm against the other.
But as a Glasgow MSP he has a responsibility for the victims of the abuse which took place within Celtic over almost three decades at various times. He has to use his position to ensure they get the justice to which they are entitled.
My own view (and I suspect many others also) is that he is unwilling to fully commit himself to this in case it jeopardises the ‘catholic vote’ to which his party is heavily reliant

I have no inside info or knowledge but I believe in SG, I expect a couple of marquee signings and I also expect better next season, I expect to win the league next season.
I believe SG’s job just got a lot easier today following their appointment of Lennon.
I’m genuinely surprised.
I really did expect them to go for a big name. I was dreading them getting someone like Rafa Benitez

Why do these people going on holiday feel they need to wear Celtic tops at Glasgow Airport?
It’s their west of Scotland upbringing. Brought up in Scotland but think they’re Irish & hate all things British

We need a marquee signing. It would put down marker to the yahoos who will go backwards with TLB in charge

If I played forRangers I think I’d be holidaying well away from Neanderthal man.
That was my first reaction. WTF were they doing in San Antonio?
Couldn’t they have chosen somewhere a bit more upmarket?

Disappointing to end season with a defeat.
We’re much improved from last season but we just need that little bit of more in certain areas of the team especially at crucial times in games.
Now we face a nervous wait over the summer to see if we will lose any of our key players. Hopefully not

Oh well that is alright then.
We should show her that there is no hard feelings and invite her to sit in the directors box at the next old firm match.
No thanks.

It was no joke. She is a liar.
She was playing to the gallery of yahoo hordes whom the SNP now rely on for support.
No Rangers supporter could ever support this vile anti-Rangers party.

This nonsense has now gone too far.
I’m not against retrospective punishment for an offence the referee doesn’t see, but the referee did see this & gave a yellow card.
Whether it was a yellow or red or whatever is up for debate but he did see the incident & took action.
And as for Lennon he is totally deluded if he thinks Brown is some sort of victim.
Meanwhile we still wait for action against Brown for his provocation towardsMorelos from the previous OF game & his conduct after the final whistle

A very pleasing afternoon. Just wonder what might have been if SG had got Defoe last summer.

I don’t think we’d get anywhere near some of the figures quoted for Morelos given his disciplinary record this season

This seems to have gone a bit off topic from Going places/getting there.
Back on topic I’d suggest that the improvement has been very pleasing indeed this season with the highlight being qualifying for the EL group stages.
A poor run of form after the winter break cost us the title & getting put out of both domestic cups by the sheep was the low point of the season for me
However a challenge we will face in the summer is holding onto our players as we’ve now certainly got 2 or 3 saleable assets. If they’re sold then finding replacements will be something new to us in recent times.
Next season I’m sure we will kick on again. And I’ve no doubt our board & management team will be watching for another summer of strange goings-on over the East End again

Like many of us I thought Barasic would be an excellent signing but so far he’s been mostly disappointing.
He seems injury prone too.

Where is Willie Collum?
Refereeing Sunday pub league football hopefully. That’s his level.

Makes you wonderful what Kamara might be worth in a couple of years
Kamara’s an interesting one. Was a very highly rated youngster at Arsenal. He got sent out on a couple of loans to lower league teams which never worked out then eventually got released.
He ended up at Dundee for 18 months before joining us . Could be the best £50k we ever spend.
