I am just glad to get that one out of the way. As it got nearer to kick off I began to think about the possibility of losing this one. I was imagining the headlines if that had happened. I think it is inevitable that the players confidence is fragile at the moment and confidence is every bit as important as physical fitness. I think the loss of what was a really sloppy goal put us under unnecessary pressure, after dominating the first half, and we never really recovered after that. I would expect us to defend much better than that in the future.

From my experience many people I have met who have little or no association with football and people who support other clubs actually believe that we are all bigots and that bigotry does not exist elsewhere in Scotland. The assumption is that because you support Rangers you are a bigot. Ironically, it is a very one sided perception (bigoted) that has annoyed me for most of my life and if it takes an outsider to put his foot in it and bring this into the open then it may not be a bad thing.

What about Hibernain and Dundee Utd and many supporters of other clubs, particularly in the West of Scotland?

No, FS, it was in Holland. They lost in the final but it was a fantastic experience for all concerned. My daughter had to give up her season ticket for the same reason. That's what you call dedication.

My daughter has played since she was 12 and now plays ladies. We have taken her club abroad to play and seen her play in an international tournament. She no longer plays seriously because of her studies but plays for the cameraderie and to keep fit. Why should women be denied these opportunities? It beggars belief and is reminiscent of the stone age.

I respect where you are coming from but how many of those who are chanting BJK have the same knowledge or sympathy as you do? I fear they are using a tragic situation to antagonise the Celtic supporters and for no other reason. There must be a better way of doing this.

I do not accept the term "faux liberal conscience". If you want to call it "liberal conscience" then that is fair enough. In my case it is not based on conscience alone but on experience of working directly with abused children. I doubt if those who were abused would feel better for hearing chants of BJK.

The reason we have appear to be hated the length and breadth of Scotland is because we have not defended ourselves. Our enemies have won the propaganda war. When a public corporation like the BBC consistently express negative opinions about us it is time to hit back. I say again, we need a PR department. It should not be down to the manager and CEO to be doing this job, they should be getting on with their own jobs. We have been silent too long.
