  1. Sorry, missed that when I read the article, comes of scanning things. There's so much to read!
  2. Stella's deal has been completed and he played and scored in a behind closed doors game against Falkirk. 3-1 to the bears.
  3. A fun article without negative attitude. Pretty much describes the mood of the moment (my mood at least).
  4. I agree about the depths of division in Ulster. We went there a few years ago and were horrified by it, having believed the press that the troubles are over. However, the roots of the problem go back much further than the famine.
  5. Yes, I understand that but is that not conspiring to get your pals in place or get "friendly" companies local authority contracts or mates elected to trade unions or to the council etc etc to a point where you have a highly disproportionate representation in many areas of life. It is a fine line between croneyism and conspiracy.
  6. Is croneyism not conspiring to do something?
  7. I am surprised that Alex Thomson got himself into this mess by endorsing this guy and does ask questions about the credibility of other aspects of his work.
  8. It is interesting times ahead. I will be very disappointed if there isn't a vote of no confidence in Regan at the upcoming AGM. The League reconstruction debate should be interesting with the SFL holding all the aces but I just hope their preferred option is not the Belgian model as I would have to give up as I wouldn't have a clue as to what was going on
  9. I should have mentioned BF1. Fantastic. They are really making an altogether different atmosphere to 3 years ago when I last went. I spent a lot of the time yesterday watching them instead of the game. I hope their enthusiasm spreads to other areas of the stadium. I might be an oldie but I can still join in, maybe just not as vigorously as BF1. Keep it up guys, top class.
  10. A group of us were just saying exactly that today. It is like a rejuvenation, a breath of fresh air.
  11. Wouldn't buy that rag anyway, fickle, unscrupulous and unprincipled.
  12. If they follow previous form they won't spend any more than they need to to compete in the SPL and without us that won't be much.
  13. I doubt that. We had no interest in some of the players because until we went into admin they were under contract and happy playing for us. I don't think things would have turned out much differently if they had tuped over, except we would have got more money and they would have got less.
  14. That just does not make financial sense. He would have got decent money by getting them to stay, then selling them on as most wouldn't stay in Division 3.
  15. I think they have banked on Ryan McGowan, especially after allowing Broadfoot and Bocanegro to go. They obviously couldn't speak to the Hearts players until after their match with Liverpool and this has made it impossible to get someone else in in place of McGowan. There were possibly others they were hoping for that declined. I don't find Green's reasons very convincing but suspect he is using the situation to have another pop at the authorities which has been poular with the support rather than saying that there are other reasons for not getting some of the players that were mentioned. It looks better for us than saying players didn't want to play in the 3rd division and of course there are financial limits as well. The investors are not running a charity. I am very happy so far with our signings but like everyone else would have preferred more defensive cover and another midfield player. If we continue to play like we did on Thursday night I will be very happy.
  16. Haven't been this excited about a signing for a long time. Cannot wait to see him on Sunday.
  17. I wasn't aware of how little they do. Is quite awful and explains why we in Scotland are falling so badly behind. Time for change methinks.
  18. I wonder if Alex Thomson bothered to do the same amount of research as the OP before he aligned himself with this odious creep.
  19. Thanks for translating his name
  20. May be this... The consensus is that it comes from German student slang. Fink here is the German word for finch. In the nineteenth century, students who were not members of a college fraternity were called finks, perhaps because they were considered to be wild birds, uncaged or undomesticated. Later it became modified to refer to somebody poorly regarded, “not one of us”. An alternative German source sometimes suggested lies in one of the insulting slang terms Dreckfink, Schmierfink, or Schmutzfink, all terms for a low, dirty person.
  21. Very well put by Chris. This man has completely and utterly failed the Rangers support given that he involved himself in it. Has shown himself in a very bad light for falling for sob stories from the other side and failing completely to pay any attention to the plight that we found ourselves in. Very, very disappointing from a well respected journalist and more concerning from our point of view has the platform to convince others of his lies.
  22. And he was exceptional at winning penalties, sucking defenders in to bring him down.
  23. Yes I see but we would have to be willing to take them and would be hammered again.
