The right McCall, but an even bigger one awaits King in the summer

I enjoyed that! -
Sadly I couldn't really see any other outcome. I am gutted at the whole thing. I had such high hopes of Chris. He has represented us very well over the last few years and the turnaround in the work of the RST in standing up for our club has convinced me to join it. I fear for our club. A few days in charge and we are in the eye of a storm. As a fan base we must not disintegrate in the face of this, as we are weaker divided. Most of us can achieve that and we can isolate the destructive force within our own support. I am wholeheartedly behind the new board. I expect they have taken legal advice on this and perhaps looked at other things that may emerge in the future. I do hope they come out and make a statement about it which pulls no punches. On the bright side, Chris can go back to doing what he does best, hopefully with a lesson learned, writing for the RST and Rangers Standard and standing up to our enemies. I know who they are and if you don't after the last 10 years or so then I think you never will.

By banning freedom of speech? The Offensive Behaviour at Football Act is an invidious act that will almost certainly not survive the next time it is scrutinised. It has given a weapon to the serially offended and caused more problems than it has solved. No other section of society has been singled out for special treatment. The root causes of sectarianism are historical and complex and won't be solved by gagging orders.

While I would not condone tweeting such things, my ire is directed at James Cook who has been completely irresponsible in his actions of putting this in the public domain at this time. In the words of fellow journalist, Gerry Mcculloch "revenge is a dish best served cold". In the context of the time, the words of Tom English " The Charlie Hebdo cartoons in the world's media today are wonderful. Funny, sad, poignant and defiant. Just brilliant." Admittedly, I can't remember the actual cartoons in the immediate aftermath but can remember the depth of feeling at the atrocity and the defence of freedom of speech. This is the context in which Chris tweeted, inadvisedly in my opinion. It is very difficult to remain even handed when there is no parity with the treatment of other clubs. We are always at the centre of these media controversies while the actions of others are ignored. It is no longer acceptable for me to have my club as the whipping boys of Scottish football. The events of the last few years have opened my eyes to that.

Marius Zaliukas is in an emotional state of comfort

He is only following in Ally's footsteps and has obviously been studying his book of football excuses. -
I wish Kenny would learn to say "no comment" or refer the press to the Board.

Who Is In The Frame To Manage/Coach Rangers FC?

Good interview with Walter. -
I loved him. He was a big character. We could do with someone with his heart on the park at the moment. Before someone mentions his mistakes, we all make mistakes.

I think we need someone who is going to bring an entirely different approach. I would only consider Stuart Mccoll etc in the short term. This will be our most important appointment since Souness. It must be a good one, we can't afford to get it wrong. -
It still makes my blood boil every time I read articles such as these. How on earth can a public body get away with failing to follow it's own procedures and allow breaches of protocols? The fact it hasn't been the subject of a full investigation and called to account is scandalous. It shakes my belief in our democratic institutions.

Well done to SoS/RST/UoF and all of us who made it happen
Blue Moon replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes, but without it they would still be there and we would still be treading water with no investment and the club being pillaged. Not ok with most of us. Good riddance to the lot of them. -

Just watched the BBC news. Could almost be depressed but then I remembered it is the BBC. One way to beat them is to re-emerge as a force again. -

A funny physiological change came over to me today. I used to have a few years ago and now it's returned. When I think of Rangers I smile -
