Thought our subs should have been made earlier and Gio chose the wrong players to bring on. Arfield, Matondo and Morelos should have been on. Sorry to say Wright was like a fish out of water, Davis and Tillman dead on their feet.

We were a bit pedestrian in the first half. I expected the cross for Tillman's goal to go right out the park and up he popped. Well done to all the new guys for playing their part in the second half. Lundstrum was a standout and it was really good to see a fit Ryan Jack playing again.

Thought I'd already done this. Must have forgotten to post. I went for Lundstrum. Could have been Lawrence or Tillman.

I think we need to keep playing just now to help the team gel and to get some players minutes.

Choice between Davis, Lawrence and Tillman. I went for Tillman as he brought some excitement.

First half was so tentative but we picked up in the second half and there were some signs of improvement which is all we can expect with so many changes. Tillman and Lawrence looked good, Yilmaz looked shell shocked and Matondo showed promise. Steven Davis was a steadying influence and never put a foot wrong. Tavernier and Goldson in particular looked terrified at any sign of pressure. It was great to see Alfie back and scoring and Colak too. Overall I am satisfied with the improvement and things look more positive today. We need more games for things to gel.

Alfie was overplayed while injured last season. If we bring him back too soon he could have a setback. Being deemed fit and match fit are 2 different animals. Catch 22 situation.

We went for food and a few drinks after the match so had our own post mortem which doesn't differ to what I've read on here. Souttar needs time to settle in and we need to start with a much more positive set up. Delighted with the 3 points. On to Tuesday and a decent performance and result.
