Cantwell's performance is the best I've seen from a Ranger in many a long day. There were many good performances yesterday but his was absolutely outstanding.

Wow, what a game. Cantwell incredible, Raskin, Lundstrum, Jack, Souttar, Ridvan, McCrorie and the crowd, outstanding. We had to put a marker down today. I am feeling much more positive about next season with some better players.

We need to lose players ahead of Tav who are a much greater liability than him and there are a few of them. I would give the captaincy to Todd Cantwell (couldn't think of anyone else 😀). Says it all really.

I think Beale would have been better to keep his counsel on Alfie with just a few games to go. It seems pretty pointless and unnecessary at this stage. I didn't think he was the worst against Celtic and I don't understand why he has become the fall guy from that by starting on the bench. What rabbit is he going to pull out the hat for next weeks game because Sakala and Matondo upfront without a striker won't cut it against them. Alfie has given us some amazing moments and will go with my thanks for that. I would prefer to leave it on that note.

There is hope that the ongoing investigation into perjury around the Salmond prosecution will take them down. She is damaged goods as the corruption and incompetence are laid bare.

Excellent article from Rick. Couldn't really argue with any of that. I am getting antsy about the quality of the people who will fill the vacant positions. I would like to hear from the club about the number of injuries we've had this season and the length of recovery time. The fans are not daft and sense there is something amiss. How will that and fitness issues be addressed? Most important of all, how is all of this, and a rebuild, going to be funded? This is a pivotal point for us and we need to get it right. No matter how badly we are hurting we have been through worse and come July/August we will be there looking forward to the new season in anticipation of the joy and pleasure to come (hopefully).

I don't understand why they don't have a time limit on the acceptance of new contracts. For it to lie on the table for months is really unacceptable. Leaves the club in a tricky situation as the window closes. As an aside, I went on record at the time that I didn't want him to re-sign.

Good post Bill. I agree that is exactly where we are at. Michael Beale does lack experience, that much is obvious. We can only hope he is a quick learner and has the ability to move us along further. We are at a pivotal point. Currently, Raskin and Cantwell are the 2 who might make us some big money. We definitely need to find some real gems and/or an injection of cash or both.

I was happy enough with our performance. If anything we were the better team. We didn't win because conceded a dreadful goal which several people were complicit in failing to deal with and we can't score goals. I am optimistic for next season if we improve on our weaknesses. Talking about individuals, I don't want to see Kent play again this season on the assumption that he is away. He doesn't deserve a new contract. Matondo needs to get a chance. We need to offload Sakala if we can afford to replace him. A special mention for John Lundstram who played well today, especially first half. I have been a fierce critic of him this season. Arfield should get another year. The match officials were atrocious. I am tired of saying this but the club needs to speak out. We were subject to so many wrong decisions today and our ball players get booted off the park.
