  1. He said Rangers do not exist in their original form, going along with the idea of a new club, no history and the 1899 company being the be all and end all. Green was mentioned but it's pretty clear he and Whittaker were just trying to make all sorts of excuses for leaving rather than just being totally honest, saying they want to progress their careers and Rangers will be at a much lower level for a while. More players will leave very soon, something I have no issue with provided they are totally straight and don't start the 'new club', 'no history' nonsense.
  2. Good stuff to hear. I can't see him staying for the Third Division, but we'll probably get a fee for him now.
  3. Well you can't rule anything out in theory but I think people looking for bigger plans and reasons are clutching at straws to say the least.
  4. It doesn't sound like Green would have a strong case.
  5. Even if that was true which I doubt, he should value the fans much more than a potential small legal wrangle.
  6. I have to be honest and say the no vote itself doesn't bother me much, would you want us to vote some other team in the same way? We went into liquidation, being able to just pick up right where we left off after that wouldn't seem all that fair. The general hostility, lack of sympathy there's been however certainly creates a very bitter taste.
  7. 'Rangers are the same club as ever but sadly they will be at a much lower level for a while and I want to progress my career. I will continue to be a fan of the same Rangers I was as a boy.' Something like is all it took and would have done nobody any harm, I think you're clutching at straws hoping there's some bigger plan.
  8. By most accounts it seems we can't apply for England, even right at the bottom.
  9. Think you need to face reality mate, there is no bigger plan here. The 'Rangers men' that could have taken us over can't, won't or both. Naismith has said this stuff to try and portray himself as not doing it just to progress his career.
  10. Nobody is denying the situation has been and is bad, very worrying and whatever words you want to use but we are not dead and never will be. Naismith declared that Rangers are not the same, it's inexcusable.
  11. It was not difficult for Naismith to say 'Rangers are the same club as ever but sadly they will be at a much lower level for a while and I want to progress my career. I will continue to be a fan of the same Rangers I was as a boy.' That's all it would have taken. Can't understand people defending him TBH.
  12. And i'm not keen on them either. Folk giving up is the only way the club will die.
  13. Pretty much my attitude in terms of leaving, but the comments rightly or wrongly i've found hurtful. Naismith I expected better, Whittaker doesn't surprise me, never been a fan of his and wanted him sold after Malmo and the contract discussions. But Whittaker still owes us much more than the guff in his statement.
  14. Of course, doesn't help having popular players say it though, and it makes it very difficult to wish Naismith any luck or remember him fondly, for me anyway.
  15. Our application will be by far the strongest surely? Structure decides SFL admission rather than 'sporting integrity' or whatever else.
  16. They should have enough intelligence to make their own minds up, certainly in the case of Naismith who is meant to be a fan i'd expect him to realise the club still goes on and that people will state otherwise because they don't like us. We're a club that won't have European football anytime soon, we also need to start at the bottom, the way the SPL vote will go has been made public pretty much over the last few days. If players who leave just came out and said the Scottish Lower leagues is not how they see their career progressing then I really would have no issue.
  17. Bridges have been burnt. Can you not see the statements are what have angered people much more than the actual decision to leave?
  18. I never intended giving anyone stick for leaving. The statements from Naismith and Whittaker have been unforgivable however, sticking the knife in and repeating propaganda from our haters about 'new club', 'no history'. Naismith is the worst considering I felt he'd respect the fans by being totally honest about his reasoning being his career, emphasising that Rangers are the same club as always and adding his continued support. Well he is nothing to me anymore.
  19. Did Green and co underestimate/not understand the bad feeling towards us when they made the asset purchase deal in the event of a CVA failing? I never expected to be voted back in for a second.
  20. Surely we're not going to wait until this vote? It's mathamtically impossible already.
  21. So you also believe Rangers are dead?
  22. Everyone knows players would/will need to be sold, even if we somehow ended up back in the SPL.
