  1. Listen pal. I don't know what you base that comment on and frankly I don't fucking care whether you are another internet 'sheep' that likes to attack him because it's the trend, or whether you have a valid reason. But do us a favour and keep comments like that off here.
  2. I cannot, for the life of me, work out why internal HMRC investigations haven't uncovered who has been leaking the information from within HMRC i.e. the guy we really want the net to fall on. People are being instantly sacked at a lower level all over HMRC these days for accessing unauthorised records e.g. family members etc (really that strict these days!). Audit trails against records accessed are very thorough now - you cannot access any record in HMRC without logging in to it with your own unique ID (regardless of your seniority level within HMRC). When you get to the level of confidentiality that our records would be held under, there must only have been a very limited number of people who could access it, and the environment in which they would be held would be ring-fenced (secure network connectivity limited to certain staff). The audit trails to this data would be highly auditable\traceable. I honestly don't get it.
  3. You take all the fun of it, but too late. I took one look at your 'Cookies' folder and thought 'I'm out of here!'.
  4. This is our future captain in the making. To me he has almost been iconic for us over the last couple of years. Who will ever forget the open armed salute in front of the Govan against that mob - a game that stamped our message that we were not going to be killed off! Surely there are others we could make the same money out of? I won't bore you with the names as they have already been listed on here many times
  5. Will he really have a choice at the end of the day? How much is a contract worth these days when being pushed from above?
  6. I'm afraid to say that without Lee Wallace a very ordinary side with no real creativity becomes worse than ordinary as he has been consistently our rock and most creative player by a mile. I for one will be gutted if\when he goes and any Club that pays less then £2m for him should come in wearing a Dick Turpin mask (if he was playing in the SFPL it would be 3 times that figure). Gutted at the prospect!
  7. Any RM or FF members know if it is on there anywhere and how it is being received? The donations are slow.
  8. And what about HMRC's appeal against us (admin - feel free to delete if taking the post off topic) ?
  9. If his brains were dynamite he would struggle to blow his nose.
  10. For anyone interested I know that the SDMC crew were with the Fife Loyal RSC at the weekend and accompanied them to the game etc. They also filmed in The Grapes Bar among other venues. The guys from Fife Loyal said they were the real deal i.e. no hidden agenda etc and they are a good bunch of guys. Questions were all of a very positive nature e.g. favourite goals, memories etc. They met with Gordon Smith for an interview also.
  11. I don't think it is Andy. He has had an anti-King agenda for quite a while now e.g. adamant (or preying??) that he will never pass a 'fit and proper person' examination etc, labeling him a criminal\crook, and so on. For me it's aimed at creating distrust of King amongst the gullible readers, dividing the Rangers support over King. The article is lacking in professionalism, evidence and solid research.
  12. Interesting (and a relief in a funny way) to get it straight from Ally's mouth that we are "miles away" from being good enough to win the top league (and probably a cup for that matter).
  13. Exactly. It is silly little things like that which give away where he is coming from. Even little snidey bits of childish sarcasm like "it’s believed he has, er, an off-the-radar amount of rand.". So what are you saying Mr English? That he may not be rich? That the judge who called him "quite possibly the richest man in SA" could be wrong too? If none of these then why put in a petulant little addition like 'er'? Do you know the irony in this? This man is always at the front of the queue to have a kick at Rangers for being wasteful financially over the years. Yet here we have Dave King saying that he will quite categorically not invest in the Club without a guarantee that the money will be used wisely, and not line the pockets of chancers\spivs. How does Mr English suggest Dave King should go about his business? "If you've got as much as you say you have Dave you should just throw what it takes to get what you want, regardless of how much you lose in the process". Talk about irony??? This notion that - once you get to a certain level of 'rich' you don't care how much you lose - is bad enough among the fans criticising King, but coming from a 'professional' journalist is just pathetic. Some of these guys are more frugal than the guy who has 12 quid left to do him the rest of the week. OK, some might say 'was he frugal with his last £20m investment?'. Rangers are his passion and he is willing to 'let loose' on his passion given the right circumstances, but not unless any investment goes 100% towards his passion i.e. not 80%, while chancers get 20%.
  14. That article is so flawed I can't even begin to pick the holes in it. How ironic that the article is based on 'empty barrels make the most noise'. The paragraph "He could have bought the club from David Murray, but didn’t. He could have made a move in the summer of 2012 and blown Charles Green out of the water, but he didn’t do that either. When Green was found out, King could have gone to war and started hoovering up available shares to get himself in a position of some kind of influence at Ibrox, but he didn’t get involved." is so lacking in research and accuracy that you know it had to be Speirs or English before anyone even tells you. The reasons King didn't\couldn't are known to everyone now except the 'blinded'. Or indeed those trying for another cheap shot at the Club. The whole article is hot air and is clearly aimed at riling and unsettling the fans even more.
  15. He is a fan, and he is genuinely dreading the thought of a real doing at the hands of that mob (while at the same time dreaming of the euphoria that would come with us giving them a good belt on the chin). He is certainly not scaremongering. That is why he has hung around for so long wanting to be able to put his money in under the right circumstances. I agree with you - I would love him around with his money because he is not likely to walk away within a year or two (the people that think he is have no idea of his background).
  16. King has never took any side. He has always wanted what is best for the Club. He stated that Paul Murray is someone he trusts as having the Club's interest at heart, but that is as far as him 'taking sides' went. He is very much his own man. You think it is scaremongering? How do you think we would fare at Breezeblock Boulevard today with our current squad? I would guarantee Commons, Brown, Mulgrew etc would take great delight in giving us a royal pumping. And you think King is scaremongering by saying that trimming the current squad even further could lead to a real tanking? He is bang on the money I'm afraid mate. You also say 'wait 15 months until we are there and his money will be welcome once we are there'. Seriously? Wait until we actually get into the top division (actually in it i.e. season started?) and then try to get a team to gel? That is utter madness. Surely we develop a core squad that is good enough to compete in the SPFL the season before we get there and then in the close season just before (if the likes of King wants to invest what is required) we buy a couple of players of quality who want to be part of history in the making potentially that might get us a top two place. What people shouldn't forget is that we will be world news by the time we get back to the SPFL. To be happy with 5th or 6th will not be acceptable. We could have media rights that nobody has even considered if we come back fighting. It is the ultimate story of sporting romance that the dhims will choke on. We will be the romantic story.
  17. I think it at least might stop the usual "why doesn't King just buy up X amount of shares and put his money where his mouth is?" posts (for a little while anyway).
  18. Can anyone show me anything anywhere where King has intimated he wants to control the Club? He has only ever said that he would be interested in being an investor on the board (as he was previously) as far as I'm aware.
  19. We really do make it hard for ourselves. A chance to do our own promotion and already the daggers are out over semantics. Why, why, why? Can't we see an opportunity when it bites us on the fucking nose? I despair (again)!
  20. I don't think they hide the fact that they are trying to raise £7K because they dumped the idea that they were originally (allegedly I admit) going to involve the BBC, which they admit would not be accepted by the fans . They obviously need a bit of help with funding because of that decision. I get the feeling they will get it in the neck whichever way they try to go. If they had gone with BBC - slaughtered! If they ask for help in funding because of that decision - slaughtered. It's what we do as a Rangers support - we find a way of not uniting to promote ourselves, yet gripe at how we are portrayed. They are going to be in Glasgow over the next couple of weeks and will attend the Dunfermline cup game on the 7th. They have a track record, having done the Man City DVD, and the main guy is a known actor and hosted an MTV programme previously. I suppose an easy way to validate whether they are serious is to contact any of parties that they say have already contributed to the documentary e.g. The Gallant Pioneers- Fan Club Author- The Gallant Pioneers 2009 Brothers in Blue Wick True Blues Amoruso Tru Blues Fife Loyal RSC Kinning Park Royal Peterhead True Blues
  21. I wonder if 'Ivan Egotulukafta' is one of his eastern block followers?
  22. You must have done something really bad to be in Barlinnie that long mate
  23. "Mutual consent"? Hmm. I wonder if a number of players will start to feel a desire to mutually consent, and I wonder what deal they get for their consent?
