  1. Just an update to say I've just been filmed and interviewed by Chris (couldn't get to my house so he booked out a room in a pub). Just to reiterate what Brahim said above. Chris is a very positive guy with a real determination to see this film work. He is really committed to producing something that Rangers fans can be proud of, that shows the best side of our support throughout. Top guy. He told me he is charged in excess of £500 per minute for archive footage, as well as having to pay extra costs for showing it. I can confirm that it is definitely going ahead. He has also persuaded Gazza to do an interview.
  2. Including yourself I presume - yes?
  3. Agreed. I think we have all grown pretty tired of faceless 'sources' over the last couple of years, whether delivering positive or negative 'news'.
  4. Very interesting and very well delivered (although I appreciate "my sources tell me......" doesn't always strike a chord with everybody).
  5. I thought it was pretty clear on the OP link what the £10 got you https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1185240213/glasgow-rangers-the-blue-bear-rises/backers The guys had no choice but to pull it. Apparently under Kickstarter rules you have to remove it after the original allocated time (which was at least a month in this case) if the target figure is not achieved, and refund any donations. Understandably the guys thought there would be a real desire amongst our fans to promote ourselves on a DVD (and FILM) for the first time and that £7K was a realistic target in a month, bearing in mind what you got for your larger donations as well (see link).
  6. The only thing I would say Zappa was that a £10 donation was getting you a copy of the DVD. Most people will go and pay it once its made, which is taking away from the quality of the production that they will probably pay at least £10 for anyway. False economy I think.
  7. The film still goes ahead. The fund raising to pay for more archives has been cancelled because only 9 people backed it with a few quid. Fantastic eh?
  8. I'm shertainly working ekshtremely hard at mashtering the Sean Connery Acshent for Shunday. I hope they don't ask me any queshtions about that Sheltic mob or the Kerrydale Shtreet Web Shite
  9. I think you will find not many people are sick - they've still got their tenner in their pocket!
  10. Who needs enemies? Don't we do just a grand job on our own?? Our 'support' stagger me at times.
  11. Sorry to say this but the response to this was absolutely shocking. £10 donation and you get a copy of the DVD. Hardly a rip off. What a chance we had here to promote ourselves to the best of our abilities. 9 Backers - FFS!!! I hope nobody has the cheek to complain about lack of quality etc when the guys do produce it. Pig sick and embarrassed - say no more!!
  12. You heard it here first
  13. I thought about retiring from this 'flashing' habit, but I've decided just to stick it out for another wee while.
  14. LOL - I like that one!!
  15. Kenny McDowall introduces a new 'bring fun to training' approach - " ....18,19,20.....here I come, ready or not, not my fault if you get caught!"
  16. "Leave me be. I'm staying here until you all stop laughing. I didn't say I was going to get one. I just said Wayne Rooney suited his!"
  17. 'Sellik' also played two men very wide in Samaras and Forrest. Both were murder and Aberdeen totally bossed the middle of the park with Robson almost bullying their midfield and Pawlett dominating. If we played them we would have to meet fire with fire in the middle I think.
  18. Agreed. I was a bit reticent myself, and I had to do quite a bit of research before I committed to anything, let alone open the door to my home, but honestly the feedback I'm getting is nothing but positive.
  19. The £7K was purely a figure that they wanted to achieve to pay for archive footage e.g. favourite goals, memories etc of fans, and anything relating to our history. Apparently that is roughly what they estimate they will have to pay out. If they don't achieve that figure, it may mean that they won't have the level of archive footage they would have hoped for, but the project will still go ahead. They have actually carried out shed loads of research, interviews etc. They have been really proactive i.e. visiting supporters clubs, traveling to the games (from Fife etc), filming on the bus, filming the guys enter the stadium, filming them in the Grapes Bar after the game. I've spoken to a few of the guys who've said the crew have been absolutely top drawer. They are releasing a preview clip shortly for all to see. I just think this will be a wasted opportunity if we let it pass. As I've said before the guys I've spoken to have had nothing but good to say about them, and there have been absolutely no 'trip wire' questions whatsoever, and nothing discussed that could be edited and misconstrued. I'm being filmed at home on Sunday 23rd Feb to discuss something I was involved in as a fan a number of years ago, and they have been very accommodating thus far. The main researcher is a guy called Jake Jones, and I can give his number to anyone who PMs me, if you want to ask him any questions. You can also contact Niraj whose details are in the OP, who is also very helpful. It would be good if we could show these guys some more support, even if just to spread the word. It can only be good for us, and it will get right up the Dhims' noses if a DVD (and possibly Scottish cinema) release paints us in a way that has never been done before.
  20. Best bet on the coupon after a decent performance - Draw - Half time, Rangers - Full Time (after a half time rollicking for dropping the standards again).
  21. Considering a £10 donation gets you a copy of the DVD it's not too much to ask I don't think. We can't really complain we don't get seen in a good light, and when the first big opportunity comes along we make up every excuse under the sun not to back it or just plain ignore it. You can bet your bottom dollar if it was the Dhims promoting themselves in a film they would be all over it like a rash.
  22. My only concern is that the higher up the leagues we go, then Ally will be more inclined to go one up top in certain games (I will bet he does it in the cup as soon as we get an SPFL side). I'm not saying it shouldn't be done, as it works well if done right i.e. enough support in behind the front man. I just don't see him ever looking at Boyd as the man who can play that role.
  23. I'm not sure what he brings to the fold. He seems keen enough and can hit the odd dead ball but I don't what his best position is. If you were to put him in a Dunfermline shirt for example I'm not sure I would notice him.
  24. Good they can watch 'their' team get pumped out of the Cup twice then :-)
