    Brilliant SA! Any more for any more? There is no hidden agenda with these guys and they are putting their heart and soul into this and funding the film themselves. This element of funding is purely to purchase the best archive footage they can. The film will be made regardless, but the more contributions the better the quality. £15 gets a copy of the DVD out in May. The premier showing is at the Glasgow Film Theatre in May. Let's help the guys and help promote ourselves at the same time. We complain often enough about negative coverage. Here's our chance to put ourselves out there in a way we have never been able to do before. Let's not waste it. Check the link in the OP for a little preview.

    I don't think he could have taken that risk (even though I don't think that was his only reason). His fight with SARS didn't remain a 'war of attrition' until the last. He adopted a very conciliatory approach with them towards the end of the case as he needed closure of a kind. That required SARS to reciprocate, but they would only do that if they could see he genuinely wanted to co-operate at last, which required a level of trust. They were aware of his mother's 'wealth' in past investigations for example. To take such a risk, either via his mother or another proxy, could have potentially blown his SARS closure completely to pieces. He is now clear to do things properly, but will he get the chance?

    There are a lot of adages like 'now or never', 'walk the walk', 'piss or get off the potty' etc being used (all of which I agree with incidentally). The only thing that keeps coming into my head though is - what can he do if the current board and the 'main investors' are all just part of a grand plan than was hatched previously by people no longer the face of the board e.g. Green. If they really batten down the hatches for the long haul is there much Dave King can do to breach it, even with all his wealth. I'm not saying there isn't but I would be delighted if someone with a better commercial\corporate head than mine could throw a few possible scenarios my way that would give me hope that the 'Easdale barricade' can be breached by Dave King. I would love some hope.

    (1) He has never been a critic of the Club (2) A fresh round of shares and a promise to put serious money into the Club (more than the rest put together by far no doubt). Umpteen attempts to open up serious dialogue with the incumbents, which have been refused. What has he to do to come across as serious - an 'Iranian Embassy' style entrance via the roof and a rope to crash the boardroom? (3) Maybe nobody else will ever capture the imagination of the main investors because they will never have an open mind due to the fact that they are working to an agenda cemented by previous incumbents and the current lot are the latest 'custodians' of that grand plan.

    After the first paragraph you could tell it was going to reveal absolute diddly squat. I would rather they made no statement than this droll (you could easily imagine William Hague or George Osborne reading this out). They really think every supporter zips up the back (and has some foam hanging out) if they think we are appeased with completely empty drivel like this.

    Thanks for the new site guys. I liked the Clive Anderson bit in the trailer. No idea he was a bluenose!! It's taking shape and I hope the fund raising fares a bit better this time.

    How about you read your previous posts on the same subject and you will find the answer - lots of times I imagine. What is it you don't get when I say stop asking the same fucking question over and over, yet your response is to ask the question again???

    Is it not the case that the Easdales had someone create a very smooth path for them to acquire the shares they have? Is it not the case that King is asking for an equally smooth path for him to acquire shares (in a new flotation) that would make the Easdales' investment look paltry? Is it a level playing field we are discussing?

    RAB - sorry but do you never get tired of regurgitating the same old questions about Dave King buying shares? You have been answered in great depth multitudes of times on here why he didn't\hasn't. It is really tiresome for people to keep having to give the same responses over and over. Is it a war of attrition so that it eventually looks like nobody has got any valid counter response, which in reality is because they are in danger of keeling over through 'death by repitition'?

    I've changed one word in that statement that turns it into an actual statement that reflects reality.

    Oh I think you are a bit too late with that comment. I think you will find that Mr King is being taken very seriously. Interesting that each of your comments above could be directed at the current board with more justification.
