  1. No point having a gun with no ammunition. If we try to provide 'ammunition' like we have done up until now i.e. long ball punts, then even these 2 won't make too much of a difference.
  2. What - like Kevin Kyle, Sandaza, Black, Peralta, Faure, Cribari, Foster etc etc?
  3. What can our manager possibly do differently to what he has done for the last few seasons? This theory that Ally will get it right 'round the next corner' is just nonsense. Is anyone really getting excited thinking that Ally will, all of a sudden, get it right next season? I'm afraid to say it will be exactly the same tired, stale approach. Hearts have achieved in half a season what we have failed to achieve over the last two seasons i.e. hit rock bottom, but then get a bunch of kids together into a fighting unit playing exciting football (then ironically sack the manager). I hope and pray that we change our management team. The place would come alive again with renewed hope and optimism. But let's be honest - it ain't going to happen is it? I'm sorry for the gloom and doom prediction, but it's what our current management team do for me. In over 40 years of following my Club I've never felt this way approaching a new season.
  4. Does he do this when people complain about his buses?
  5. To be fair - it beats the vast majority of dross we have had to endure this season, and I can't watch Jeremy Kyle either.
  6. Not that I'm a big Nike fan, but if it looks like it does in the photo then I can only see my 5-a-side contribution being raised by at least 10%.
  7. I think for £35 people actually do need to see the real McCoy. Otherwise putting up that image is just as misleading as those they are protesting against to be fair. I would be bloody raging if I posted £35 and got one of those Barras replica numbers. We really have to see an actual top....otherwise I'm out.
  8. I don't actually care if it was the idea of Osama Bin Liner and Winnie Mandela's love child. If (if!) it looks like it does in the photo - result!
  9. Can anyone actually answer this question? It would be a bit misleading if it didn't actually have Nike's tick on it as shown. Why would Nike have any involvement? I think it is a belter. I don't wear football tops but I would certainly stick this on for old codgers 5-a-sides.
  10. How good did the Rangers end look that day? Superb memories.
  11. That is what you deserve for betting on them against us.
  12. I really enjoyed this one for the last minute winner against them. Had it all. Edit - you beat me to it Frankie.
  13. I think both sides have probably already done the arithmetic, but no side wants to be the first to 'draw'. In keeping with your theme - as Josey Wales once said - "are you going to pull those pistols or just whistle Dixie?".
  14. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/furious-rangers-fan-locked-bitter-3520662 I hope the guy gets his money, but if I was the bookmaker in this case I might challenge the actual bet placed on the betting slip shown. Does that really say 'underfed'? :D
  15. Sorry to deviate from the humour but they sum up our Club's direction at the moment. Cheap, not in touch with the customer, and devoid of any class whatsoever. People will probably have received decent wages for designing that utter dross.
  16. Dave King must read this and piss himself laughing at how skint he is and how he should learn to be more business 'savvy'. I know I do. :)
  17. I still say even at his age he is a winner and we lack them in the team. Someone with a presence who will give team mates a public rollicking if they are slacking on the park. It is infectious once it gets started. How many downright lazy displays have we had with no leader on the park rollicking anyone?
  18. Walter did not use Barry in any serious fashion in his first stint. If you disagree then why does Barry say that Advocaat saved his career as he was going nowhere under Walter? How many time WS used him in his second stint is completely irrelevant to the debate as by then Advocaat had nurtured the young Barry into an experienced first team regular.
  19. I actually believe that Ally knows his limitations as a manager i.e. he knows he doesn't know how to nurture talent, change a game strategy etc. I think that is why he wants older players who essentially don't need managed - Jig, Miller, Boyd etc. Walter was the same if you think about it. His team was full of players who knew how to play the game and win. There were no 'Jose Mourinho' type game plans. His expensive players did the talking. He was very reluctant to introduce young blood. Barry Ferguson only started getting a game when Advocaat came in, and he instantly made Barry his lynchpin (in fact in one of Barry's first games under Advocaat he destroyed Leverkusen in Germany if my memory serves me right, but he couldn't get a game under Walter).
  20. C'mon guys give us a break. I come to this forum as that sort of stuff gets me down. Please don't start a trend of pasting it in here. I'm not trying to be a pedant, but it really does do my head in that stuff, and this is the one forum where I could find a level of respite from it.
  21. I know I am very much in the minority, but I think he will bring something we sadly miss at the moment - a winner who is not afraid to give his team mates a real earful. I think Kenny Miller's mentality tends to rub off on those around him. At the right price I think he could do us a job. I don't think it will happen though.
  22. Absolutely sick to the fricking back teeth of it if the truth be told. I actually am beginning to think that some people get more passionate about this stuff than the football side. To be fair they both bore me senseless at the moment. The first I heard finance spoken about at Ibrox was when Colin Stein was bought for £100,000. It was all about the football. How I long for those days.
  23. Let me get this right. You want to quote the SA authorities when it comes to shooting DK down, but when an SA judge calls him "probably the richest man in South Africa" you say he is talking shite? Selling his vineyards alone would probably raise most of the money. His mother could probably stand up the money. So will you give these tired old comments a rest (no? I didn't think you would).
