Anyone with enough knowledge able to break that down to 'bad guys' v 'good guys' (apart from the 'unknowns obviously)?

I think John is some kind of tactical play by Dave King. He is a fan, a very enthusiastic fan. He's not everyone's cup of tea, because he doesn't miss and hit the wall in his approach. Although I have found him good company on the few occasions I have been in his company, I would never have him down as a director at the Club. I'm not saying he wont do a job, but he is a strange choice to say the least. That is why I feel it's some kind of tactical manouvre on DK's part. I just can't visualise John Gilligan on the board. I've been wrong many times before.............

So does he!!

John is a true Rangers diehard, but a Henry Kissinger he isn't. And he failed Swiss Finishing School as well. Good match for the Easdales.

No it's not - you're guessing like everyone else. To say it is simple is plain stupid. -
Felix Magath aligns with the 3 Bears - another 1% to the good guys

I'm not saying he wont get us playing well quickly. He may very well do. BTW I'm all for the idea because we need a long term vision and there are probably not many better we could have got. I maybe should have said may require patience rather than will. And I'm only basing that on recent German success models e.g. Dortmund and the German Nation side. It needed a few years to come to fruition. But I would take that personally. -

I agree, but I don't believe theirs is grown on deep roots. They have been fortunate that they have already had a decent youth set up and were able to call on that. And it has worked for them until now. But their bubble will burst because they are not a great side and they will find it tough next year I will bet. What Magath would be doing would be something far more deep routed that would stand the test of time, much like the German national set up. -

My only 'concern' with the Felix Magath type model of football philosophy, you really do have to suffer a fair degree of pain before the gain i.e. you more or less rip up the current model (albeit we don't have one!!!) and start again with youth in the side. This would have been the perfect marriage 2 years ago, but we know how that opportunity has been wasted entirely. It would need extreme patience from the fans, but I for one would be willing to give him it. Would we fill the stadium through a long (possibly painful) rebuild of our playing structure? That is one I'm not so sure about, so it could be a big hit financially. -
"Former Bayern Munich boss holds talks with consortium looking to gain control at Ibrox as he impresses with his blueprint for future of the club Felix Magath has joined forces with the Three Bears in a bid to force a regime change at Rangers. Record Sport revealed yesterday how the former Bayern Munich boss had bought one per cent stake in the cash crippled club. Magath held discussions with one of the key players in the Three Bears consortium after flying into Scotland last week." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/felix-magath-joins-up-three-4950904 Is it just just coincidence that Nerlinger, who has been so heavily linked with us recently is fairly close to Magath (I believe)? Nerlinger also scored against Magath's Stuttgart side when we beat them at Ibrox in 2003.

And treat the punters like we can't think for ourselves? Yeh I just love those interviews - "one game at a time", "next game is win or bust, and if we lose that one then the next 2 games after that are really and really really win or bust", "we're just not having any luck. They have 4 shots and they all go in. We have 5 shots and they all don't for some reason". We are playing shite. We have no management team. We have no creativity. We sold our only genuinely creative midfielder More importantly than all of those we have no heart for a fight. Teams compensate when underdogs by showing more fight than the opposition. We have no fight or heart. Forgive me but why should I have positive feelings about this exactly?
-
At what point in that interview does he say the team are dreading it? He says the fans probably are. Poetic license by the headline writer to sell papers because they know people will bite. The real cowards are guys like Black who act like idiots in the big games to get sent off or taken off because they can't stand the heat - yet some people are naive enough to see that as commitment.
-
I know young Steven and his family from Blantyre, and I will tell you what - he wont be holding back against them. He doesn't shirk a challenge. He knows he is not a world beater but he will give everything he has got. I think his words have been twisted somewhat in that headline. And as others have said - he is right. We have next to no chance against them, and I'm dreading it.

Although does the same go for Davie Robertson vouching for Sarver come into the same category? Maybe not given that his heart is in Aberdeen, so maybe I've answered my own question. -

Some 'hope' for the weekend would be nice. Can you feel it in your blood? -

Agreed. Hence my point about Brian Kennedy. People trust this Hibs man because he is genuine in his concern for our Club. I've yet to hear - "get him to f#ck. He's not a Rangers man" from one single person. -

Grow up then instead of "attempts to belittle me" and "you are using THAT as a rod to my back". FFS - like a 14 year old girl arguing with her pals. People are getting bored now so give it a rest. -

You might not have noticed post #431 in your selective reading process, and who 'agreed' to that post. -

Oh I see - you are being selective and only reading what suits your (false) theory. But as you say - "either read it or don't". Quite what this is about in relation to my posts I don't know - "Then, of course, we had the "Yanks No Thanks" embarrassment". But have at it, as you so diplomatically put it. -

You keep insisting on peddling this 'Rangers Men' inaccuracy, and completely ignoring the responses you get. So I will repeat it again . This is turning into a complete distortion of reality. The support for the 'Rangers men' versus the support for the American is a complete load of nonsense, and do you know what, if he is Ashley's man put in there to divide and conquer the anti-Ashley support he is doing a damn good job already. No, scratch that remark - we're doing a good job on our own. It's not about 'Rangers men' versus others. As I said earlier if Brian Kennedy was back in trying to save us (with enough financial backing this time) he would be getting full support from the fans, and he is a Hibs man!! -

I will bet 'Due Diligence' at this stage means he has asked around. Surely there is a level of corporate governance that stops any Tom, Dick or Robert saying "I'm interested in taking you over. Let me look at your books please".
