The only thing that's bothering me about the Naismith thing is that it seems as if Pedro has done a U-turn. By all accounts it was a no earlier in the window and now after the Euro exit it's back on. Seems a bit amateur which is worrying. Though it's all hearsay as we may not be back in for him now and it might not have been a no earlier in the window. I'd be gutted if we sold Wes, though I wouldn't be surprised at all. We should get him on a long term contract imo as it's likely he too will improve with better defenders around him

The Naismith thing is a no brainer for me. Guys like Griffiths couldn't cut it down south whereas only a few seasons ago before Everton got their cash injection he was one of their better players and at one point he was highlighted as the player that made them tic. So get him signed pronto. Same with Dorrans, they should stroll it up here

I'm surprised the board have done business with Forrest. Surely other teams would've been interested in him. I'm hugely disappointed he's going though I get that if he doesn't want to be here we are better rid of him. I just wouldn't have sold him for 750K with two months of the window left and certainly not to Forrest

In one of the above comments it's quoted that Celtic are rumored to be getting 10 million for a player Celtic fans didn't particularly like a year ago in the last year of his contract. Is he 8-10 times the player of McKay? I'd rather we run down his contract for that money and lost him for nothing than sell him for 750K

Rangers v Progrès Niederkorn - Failure is not an option

Does anyone else agree that sometimes we give the two DM's the ball a little early. Cardoso looks oh so comfortable with the ball at his feet, I'd be more than happy for him to carry the ball towards the half way line. I like that Jack was always wanting the ball but he's coming back to the edge of his own box and carrying it when the central defenders could pretty much do the same thing. The passing is all well and good but if gaps open up we have to look to step in and exploit them. It seems as if we were building our team around Niko. This will only work if we can get him to a fitness level that he can last closer to 90 mins. Hopefully that'll come. He also suffers from the fact he makes clever passes that some of our boys aren't capable of reading. Mainly Waggy. Sometimes last night it looked like he had the dressing gown on when he was playing, with some excellent range of passes in there. Some stages of the game felt like a pre season friendly and the game fizzled out after 60\70 mins. -
My cousin is an agent and through him I got talking to McKays agent towards the end of last season. He was all set to sign an extension and both parties weren't far away when the Warburton drama landed. Rangers went from being in regular contact trying to get the contract signed to no contact whatsoever with McKay. Not even a lets put this on hold til we get the new manager in. They went from just about getting the boy to sign on to absolutely nothing which put their noses out of joint. They were even happy to stay knowing that Barrie could get more elsewhere but perhaps Rangers amateur treatment of him has changed his mind. Personally I think the boy could go anywhere he wants to go, he has so much ability and in glimpses last season demonstrated what hes capable of. I mind a touch out on the left wing that I thought, I doubt theres many EPL players could've done that. I hope it gets resolved and he stays but Pedro seems pretty set in his ways

He strolled the game as well. So dominant in the air and bullied a few of their strikers at times

Picture of him with his gut out in training tells us all we need to know. We need to stop bringing in guys like Hf, MOH and Templeton who don't have the mentality or desire to play at a big club

It's been the most interesting transfer window since Advocaats first window. I've been very impressed with the guys we've brought in, taking advantage of cheaper foreign markets while looking at guys here to add to it. Who knows what formation we will end up playing, looks like a 4-5-4 to me. As for Windass I'd imagine he's on low wages, id send him out on loan to another SPL team for a year and see how he gets on and look at it next year.

Imagine going from looking at Kiernan and thinking right that's the standard ive got to reach to get in the first team and all of a sudden youre training with a European Championship winner. Ah right, that's the standard then! These boys will surely benefit hugely from this deal

Imagine what it's going to do for guys like Wilson and Bates learning from this maniac. I hope he becomes our new club captain!

I actually know the wee pleb that did that! It was a guy I went to uni withs brother

John is a fantastic guy who's helped me out a couple of times. Good rangers man. Hope he enjoys returning to his season ticket knowing he done his bit

Naismith is better than anything we have. He was one of Evertons key players 2 seasons ago. We haven't had someone of his quality for 5 years so if he wants to come back then I don't think we are in a position to say no

I think the problem was No Surrender was started by one half of the stadium and Follow follow the other. Where I was sitting there were people singing different songs only a few seats apart. Someone should get the Union bears to sing songs the full stadium can get behind, they get on my wick
