I agree they perhaps shouldnt be played in these crucial qualifiers. We will have bodies back for the second leg, lets hope we got a fright last night and go about making up for it by winning the tie straight up over there. These young guys certainly have potential and should be used more at home league games against lesser opposition to blood them in. Let them get a feel for first team football in an environment where we can fully support them. They need to get their chance this season though and we will have to take slight risks with them. But if we get another Hutton, then these are risks that are perhaps worth taking

The whole scouting system at Rangers needs an overhaul. I think we should go down the same road as Ajax and PSV. And we should have Football academies all over the world, surely they would pay for themselves after a while

Once he signs him Smith will no doubt try get a third keeper before he even looks at a midfielder. The longer we leave it, the more we are held to ransom over players. I cant for the life of me think why we havent been scouting some decent midfielders. Even though they said they wanted players who are better than what we have, we will no doubt turn to some sub-standard SPL midfielder and we can have another on the bench Journeyman. Even one creative midfielder is not good enough, we need about 3 midfielders to come in. Get rid of the deadwood, and bring in someone to play in behind the strikers and a couple of decent wingers are needed as well. Beasley, Burke and Novo aren't the standard we should be settling for although Novo isnt a winger naturally. Ive not met one Rangers fan that is looking at this season positively. Imagine how horrible it will be if they get 4 in a row.

Absolutely, how can we benefit from Murray Park if we dont give the guys a chance to prove their worth. Im not suggesting sending them in willy nilly, but when players go out of form younger guys deserve a shot before we start playing first team players out of position to cover.
