  1. That boy they have in on loan from Arsenal looks quality, can't remember his name.
  2. Do you feel a Rangers away to Celtic stitch up coming?
  3. off course mate, apologies. I would settle for that.
  4. I would rather avoid Celtic just now. I think they would be too strong for us home or away.
  5. Aberdeen at Ibrox will do for me.
  6. Anybody know what time the draw will be made?
  7. Maybe he is getting his information from his Tim pals who are taking advantage of him to hurt Rangers and create division. Pure speculation of course , whats for sure is somebody is filling his head with nonsense. Punished for illegal EBT, Regan and Doncaster doing all they can to help the club.. Sounds like something straight from Kerrydale street
  8. If Bomber really did say we should be punished for the use of illegal EBT then he is full of shite and is trying to undermine the clubs fight against the SPL. Not the actions of a club legend in my mind. All the players who played with the club during the EBT years should stand as one voice, the titles were won on the pitch and the use of EBT was not illegal at the time they were used by the club. Edit I know Bomber never played for the club during the EBT years but was still employed by the club and as an ex player he should be supporting the club against the SPL not jumping on the punish Rangers bandwagon
  9. You would think that if he was pissed when giving these interviews the press would pick up on it...
  10. I also had a lot of respect for Bomber as a player, his uncompromising, no nonsense approach was inspirational. Now Bomber can simply be added to the list of traitors and filth that has tried to drag our club down.
  11. Quality from Faure. Looks the part and clearly has a passion for the club. Good find by the coaching staff.
  12. Not in the match I watched ..Rangers well deserved the win, infact we should have scored more goals than we did.
  13. If you read my post I clearly state that some of the criticism aimed at McCoist is justified, as is my point that some of the more experienced players in the squad have let McCoist down by not performing to the best of their ability. The players need to step up and take some responsibility for the poor start.. As does the manager who ultimately picks the team, formation and style of play. To say the players should be exempt from blame is ridiculous IMO
  14. I read somewhere that only 20 thousand tickets have been sold for Motherwell, if true then that is a bit dissapointing. I thought our first game this season against an SPL club would have attracted a near sell out crowd. .
  15. I think the performace of the young guns in the 2nd half against Montrose was a real positive for the club, and maybe a sign that progress is being made. Ofcourse you want to see that type of play for the full 90 minutes in every match but with so many youngsters playing crucial roles inconcistency will be a factor. I also feel some of the more experianced players in the squad are letting Ally down by giving below par performance. I take on board all the criticism leveled at Ally, a lot of which is justified but at this stage and for what it's worth I'm not ready to turn on our manager, he still has my support.
  16. From VB site Questions for Phil: 1. You once described Graham Spiers as your “new pal”. Subsequently, Spiers described you as “an odd and slightly vulnerable man”. How do you answer these allegations? Do Mr. Spiers’ claims have anything to do with your mental illness? 2. How do you answer internet allegations that you abused a young boy at a five-a-side football venue whilst you worked at Glasgow Social Work Department, resulting in one of your colleagues, namely ex-Morton player Jim Rooney, threatening you with violence? 3. Please explain fully the circumstances surrounding your departure from your position with Glasgow Social Work Department and indeed your subsequent departure from Scotland. 4. You claim to be a journalist. Please supply details of any relevant qualifications you hold and any full-time permanent employment you have held, and the publication(s) that employed you. 5. Why have you used three different surnames during your adult life, namely Gillivan, McGillivan and Mac Giolla Brain? 6. You once claimed live on Real Radio that your daughter Roisin was 8 years old when you explained The Famine Song to her, and that as a result, she was reduced to tears. Registrar records show Roisin to have been 14 at the time. Why did you lie? Was it in an attempt to invoke sympathy? 7. Is it fair to say that you are currently unemployed? If not, please name your employer. 8. Talking on the Slugger O’Toole website of your time as an SNP activist, you described yourself and your colleagues in the East End of Glasgow as “the SNP Provos”. Please explain why you used this term. 9. On the same website, you claimed to have “five brothers……a big family of fighting Irish.” The Registrar of births shows that your mother Bridgette had one child other than yourself, a girl, your sister. What made you tell this lie? 10. You recently claimed (on your blog) that you “regularly frequented a rather exclusive gentleman’s club in North Belfast…….The Felon’s Club in New Lodge”, a drinking establishment you claim was for Provisional IRA ex-Prisoners. Extensive enquiries concluded that no such club exists, or has ever existed. Can you explain why you concocted this fantasist lie? 11. Please state clearly the reasons for your wife Kathleen leaving you. 12. A “schoolteacher from Donegal” (with a Glasgow accent) phoned Real Radio claiming he and his children had been terrorised on a ferry trip from N.I. to Scotland, by bigoted, drunken, violent Rangers fans. Strangely enquiries to both the ferry company and supporters buses that had made the trip, found the “schoolteachers” pronunciations to be a pack of lies. You boasted on CelticMinded.com of having made the call, and you were subsequently banned from Real Radio. Why did you do this? General Schomberg
  17. I said before that I was never a big fan of Sheils, I am now, the lad has been outstanding in our famous jersey and is a far better player than I previously gave him credit for. We could have a smashing team when we return to the top league if these players stick together and develope. The future is bright
  18. I'm happy with that , looking forward to the match already.
  19. The Sheep at Ibrox will do for me
  20. The window slams shut at Midnight
  21. I started to type out my opinion on this then noticed you had already post exactly what I wanted to say
  22. Absolutely McCoist was a player, great touch and turn, decent pace , good movement , great reading of the game, could pass the ball and was a quality finisher. He could also tackle and put the boot in when needed. I think that side of his game gets over looked somewhat.
  23. I can't believe that some of our fans expect the team to come out the blocks and hit top gear right away despite all the problems we had this summer. It's not about accepting the shite that's been on offer in the away games so far, or how many internationals were in the team, or what Gretna done, it's about understanding the problems our club faced during the summer and accepting it WILL take a few weeks for the team to settle and move into gear. If that doesn't happen in the next few weeks then we can look at McCoist's position .
  24. Nobody seen Gretna coming, they were a new team from non league and were not expected to steam roller the SFL. Our situation is different , we are The Rangers, the most successful club in history. Every club in the SFL has us in their sights, players are fired up for the biggest game of their lifes. Gretna never had that hurdle to overcome, your a clever man and I'm sure you will accept that Gretna would not have been facing 'cup finals ' every away match. These games away from home against highly motivated players have just come too early, we are in a transitional period and our 'new team' needs time to settle and gel. When the transfer window closes we should start to settle, better performance and consistency should come with that. I think in the next few weeks things will start to look better on the park for us.
  25. We will stroll it ... Give the team a few weeks to gel.
