  1. Not backing Green with season ticket sales it could be argued that us the fans are gambling with our clubs future.
  2. I might be wrong but im sure it was sevco who Changed their name to The Rangers football club , The new name of the company who now own Rangers fc and NOT Rangers football club who changed their name
  3. I copied this article from RM, I think it's worth posting in here. Link from Sky Sports. Middlesbrough owner Steve Gibson has told Rangers and their fans that starting as a new company will have little impact on their club. Gibson helped save his hometown club in 1986 when they went into liquidation, which is the way it seems Rangers are heading. Boro emerged as a new club, but Gibson insists that they lost none of their identity as a result. "What happened with us in 1986 and is about to happen with Rangers is effectively the same. And my own view is if the SPL allow Rangers to stay in the top flight nobody will notice any difference," he told the Daily Record. "Celtic fans might want to rub it in a bit but that will only last 12 months. People will get bored with that. The best thing for Rangers is to beat Celtic twice or three times and the fans will be as happy as can be. "Chairmen, managers and players all come and go. But you're situated in the heart of your town. The club is the people who come to watch it. It's not a technical piece of paper. It's being in your town with the people from the town supporting the club. "I know Glasgow's different because you've got two very different clubs but you've got two very different communities, each of which determines the type of football club it is. "Within weeks, as long as Rangers survive, the technical things will disappear. It's all paperwork behind the scenes. Rangers Football Club will go on just as in the past and that's the most important thing. Local "It's a bit like your local pub. The landlady changes and the name above the door changes but it's still your local pub. It's still got the same feel. The technicalities of it are minor. "For me, there was no change in moving to a newco. The fabric of the club was still there. We still had Ayresome Park and our old training ground so for me it was just a technical change. "In our case we could have actually saved the old club but we couldn't get agreement with the shareholders so MiddlesbroughPosted Image Football & Athletic Company was changed to Middlesbrough Football Club 1986. "There was no emotion whatsoever when we changed the name. I wasn't even there for the signing of the papers which changed the name so that shows how minor it is. We just got the lawyers to do it. "Nothing during that process made me feel I was signing away 110 years of Middlesbrough history. It wasn't as if I was tossing away memories of what Middlesbrough had achieved. "It's the same with Rangers, albeit I suppose Rangers have a much more distinguished history than Middlesbrough. "I understand individuals would still have their own personal memories. I stood on the terraces of Ayresome Park for the first time with my dad for a game against Peterborough in 1966. But I have to say, nothing changed for me. "And when I watched Boro win the Carling Cup, their first ever trophy, in 2004 I just saw it as the exact same team I'd watched for the first time in 1966. "Forget worrying about the technicalities that nobody will ever see."
  4. Taking our titles and handing them to Celtic does not sound to sympathetic to me. To be fair he started ok and I thought he was being sympathetic then suddenly he went into a eye popping rhant about taking our titles and giving them to the team that finished second. His mask slipped
  5. Kelly was a disgrace and underline's the fact that the mhanky hordes are after our titles .
  6. That is a concern, surely Green should know who his investors are.
  7. We dont need to explain anything to them ....The reality will kick in soon enough. 1872 Rangers then Rangers now Rangers forever ...54 and counting . C*ltic and it's horrible support are irrelevant
  8. We are already ahead of them. Dont dance to their tune with comments like that please.
  9. possibly, we need answers though.. asap
  10. If McCoist cant back Green that sets off some loud alarm bells ... up untill now I have backed Green .
  11. This nightmare just goes on and on
  12. You joined this site over a year ago
  13. The bit about "Rangers as we know it died" really pissed me off .. Maybe somebody should point out the fact that Rangers football club is 140 years old , the company that died is 113 years old . Apart from that a good article.
  14. I would be, it seems straight forward enough. I would think that once the present company ceases to exist they can walk away as they will then be under contract to no one . Would the players contracts not be transfered to the newco as part of the clubs assets, meaning they are contracted to the newco before the oldco is liquidated ? If they refuse to go newco they would then like Green said be in breach of contract .
  15. Actually the team that gets away with everything play in green and grey hoops and reside across the city .
  16. What will happen if they vote us in but attach silly sanctions like a 15 point deduction for 2 seasons and agree to split 75% of our tv earnings and prize money among the clubs for say 3 seasons, will Green tell them to shove the SPL up their arse and take us to the 3rd or will he bend over and accept the punishment with gritted teeth? I think it's more likely he would accept the shafting. To be honest im not sure what would be best for the club, probably to remain in the SPL with sanctions .
  17. "They had no money or kits not even a ball, but they still carried on " ... 140 years later and we will still carry on .

    History

    Great tweet at the top
  19. Green said on Rangers tv that he will name the investors on Thursday and that he will name the new board . http://www.tv.rangers.co.uk/articles/20120612/we-will-move-forward_2254024_2809706 Edit- Sorry he actually said he would name investors after the CVA meeting on Thursday , that could mean Friday or anytime after .

    History

I believe our history will continue in much the same way that Leeds united's history continued . No doubt someone will correct me if im wrong .
  21. After todays kick in the balls it would be nice if Green came out and cushioned the blow by naming some serious investors who would back the newco. If we need to wait untill after the CVA meeting on Thursday then so be it , but we're at the stage now where he really needs to open up to the supporters.
